Roz and Michael White and their dedicated team at White’s IGA Mt Coolum are celebrating, after winning a prestigious award for the second year in a row.

White’s IGA Mt Coolum was again crowned the Queensland IGA Store of the Year at the annual Queensland IGA Awards of Excellence.

The store was also awarded the IGA Delicatessen Department of the Year, IGA Bakery Department of the Year and the IGA Dairy-Freezer Department of the Year.

White’s IGA Peregian Beach won IGA Meat Department of the Year and White’s Supa IGA claimed the IGA Customer Service and Experience Award.

The awards celebrate and recognise retail excellence and the dedicated efforts of independent family owned IGA stores across Queensland.

White’s IGA Mt Coolum won four top awards in recognition of their standout offer and ‘customer first’ mentality.

The Fresh, Delicatessen, Grocery and Gourmet local range at White’s IGA Mt Coolum are extensive, unique, immaculately presented and tailored to suit the needs of the local community.

The team continues to support local producers and suppliers through their Locavore program, which connects shoppers with food produced within 200km of the store.

The team at Mt Coolum’s pride in the store is renowned for their friendliness, helpfulness, and their efforts that have turned the store into a true local hub.

The awards were presented to the Mt Coolum team by IGA Queensland State Board Chair Frank Spanos and Roy Leisk, Queensland General Manager, Metcash Food.

Mr Spanos said the Queensland IGA Awards of Excellence acknowledged the hard work, commitment, and excellence that IGA stores across Queensland have demonstrated throughout the year.
