Annual performing arts festival NOOSA Alive! is set to include an inaugural four-day music extravaganza at Noosa Main Beach.

The 10-day event, from July 15-24, will boast the first Seaside Beach Vibes, from July 15-18.

Noosa Alive! president Andrew Stafford said it would include a variety of performances and entertainment, from opera under the stars to literary events and performances from local singers and bands.

They will be performed all under the clear-roof Evie Networks Marquee, surrounded by the picturesque scenery of Main Beach.

Crime Author Candice Fox will share some stories.

Mr Stafford said there would be something for everyone at Seaside Beach Vibes.

“Whether you like classical music or soulful singers or something to get up and dance to, Seaside Beach Vibes has got it all.”

“We start off on Thursday, 15th July, with the Noosa Starlight Opera on the Beach featuring Metropolitan opera stars, soprano Rachelle Durkin and tenor Kang Wang, beautifully supported by pianist John Woods.”

He said on Friday, July 16, there would be an opportunity to hear from best-selling crime author Candice Fox.

“While you enjoy a delicious grazing box and beverage, you will have the opportunity to listen to Candice talk about her amazing life and read from her gripping eighth book The Chase.”

Ms Fox said her books were informed by her unique life experience.

“I’ve been around prisons my whole life.

“My dad being a parole officer started the fixation, and my mother kind of encouraged it with her love of true crime.

“At one point my mother had 20 prison pen pals on the go at the same time and would read the letters to me as a kid,” Ms Fox said.

Local singer-songwriter Katie Noonan is set to perform at Noosa.

Mr Stafford said the good vibes would roll in like high tides for the Seaside Vibes Music Festival, hosted by Noosa Alive!

“The lineup is phenomenal, with performances by Nattali Rize & the Black Sistaz, Chocolate Strings, Beauty & The Beats as well as Demi Casha, Felicity Lawless, Forrest Run, The Brains Trust, Tijuana Cartel, and Tess Fapani.

“We also have Katie Noonan with Ben Hauptmann performing Joni Mitchell’s Blue in a 50th anniversary tribute to close Seaside Vibes.

Soprano Rachelle Durkin is amid the line-up.

“As well as the four days of great entertainment, people will also get a taste of the region from The Local Bar with supplying local beverages alongside wine from Nelson Wine Co within the beautifully styled marque, courtesy of LB Events.”
