Fashion lovers and bargain hunters will be in second-hand heaven, with a huge 30 per cent off sale at every Vinnies Queensland charity shop.

The sale, heldĀ  on Friday, October 1, and Saturday, October 2, will be a celebration of National Op Shop Week.

It will allow thrifty-minded shoppers to save even more on pre-loved fashion, homewares, antiques, collectables and more, while raising vital funds to support Queenslanders in need.

Author, stylist and DIY enthusiast Geneva Vanderzeil from Collective Gen said op-shops like Vinnies were the perfect place for unique fashion finds or for inspiration for home dƩcor.

ā€œSecond-hand doesnā€™t mean second-best. I love the feeling of going to Vinnies and finding fashion from brands I love at a great price,ā€ she said.

ā€œOn one of my recent Vinnies trips, I filled my trolley with a handful of pieces from Mister Zimi, Leviā€™s, Cue and Max Mara for a grand total of $50, all at the one shop.ā€

Vinnies Queensland General Manager of Operations, Drew Eide said the sale provided a chance for bargain hunters to pick up the brands they loved for a fraction of the price while supporting the community.

DIY enthusiast Geneva Vanderzeil said op-shops like Vinnies were the perfect place for unique fashion finds.

ā€œAs good as it feels to find something unique for a great price, you can also feel good knowing the proceeds from every sale at Vinnies go towards helping people in your community experiencing poverty or homelessness,ā€ he said.
