ARC Performs Neil Young’s Harvest Live – 50th Anniversary

In February 1972, Neil Young released what would become his most successful record. Harvest was his fourth studio album and followed on from the brilliant After the Gold Rush, becoming the biggest selling album of 1972 and giving him his first number one album and single with Heart of Gold. The Australian Rock Collective will present Harvest in its entirety before returning to the stage in the second half of the night to present a selection of Neil Young classics from the career of one of music’s true masters. The ARC features rock stars of Australia, including Mark Wilson (Jet), Davey Lane (You Am I), Darren Middleton (Powderfinger) and Mark Maher, who is better known as Kram (Spiderbait).

Sneaky Sound System

It was back in 2004 when Miss Connie and producer/DJ Angus McDonald started making beautiful music together. A series of singles followed, then in 2006 they released their self-titled, three-times platinum debut album. Sneaky Sound System won ARIA Awards for Breakthrough Artist and Best Dance Release, the first of 14 nominations to date. In the swirling midst of albums and tours, Miss Connie lent her vocals and lyrics to albums from superstars Jay-Z, Kanye West and Snoop Dogg, and in 2013 she was a guest mentor on Australia’s biggest TV show The Voice.

Orchestra Of Extinction

Orchestra of Extinction is a long-term project in which artists Forest Keegel and Amanda King explore the habitat of threatened species. They record sound and video footage to be housed in old radiogram cabinets that are encrusted with residue of the species’ habitat. Each of these cabinets become an archive for a particular species, forming a record of what the artists have learnt about them through research, walking and recording in their habitat and speaking with scientists and experts.

When: Sunday, April 3 to Saturday, April 16, 11am to 2pm.

Ray White Nambour Rodeo

Ray White Nambour is again presenting the Ray White Nambour Rodeo in conjunction with Honky-Tonk Rodeo Promotions and the National Rodeo Association to benefit Reimagine Nambour, a local community program.
