A 15-year-old lifestyle retreat that has never been occupied is for sale, offering prospective buyers a chance to embrace their wild side.
No.400 Obi Obi Road took three years to build and cost $10m to create but the overseas owners ultimately never used the residence.
A price could not be reached at a private on-site auction on Sunday and real estate agents are now in discussions with interested parties.
The Principal at Ken Guy – Buderim, Danny Redman, said the 37.76ha property boasted a stunning outlook.
“The location is absolutely unique,” he said.
“It is totally private, and it has an amazing panorama of the Obi Obi Valley.”
Mr Redman said the plantation style home included some striking natural features.
“The timber, internally, is spotted gum and the stone masonry work starts at the front entry and is highlighted in different parts of the home.”
It boasts four bedrooms, four bathrooms and two car spaces, along with other rooms, outlooks and a pool.

Mr Redman, who has worked in real estate for four decades, said the home was essentially untouched.
“It’s never been lived in, not for one night,” he said.
“The overseas family had planned on using it as a part-time residence but it’s no longer in their plans, so it’s on the market.”
And it’s attracted plenty of attention, with 85,000 views online.
“There has been interest from local, interstate and overseas people,” Mr Redman said.
The property and residence are largely in good condition, despite no-one living there.
Some of the exterior needs restoring.
“For those with an eye for detail and a firm understanding of the potential, a cosmetic lift would quickly bring this masterpiece back to its former glory,” the agency said.
The property, just five minutes from hinterland hamlet Mapleton, also includes grazing land and a rainforest enclave.
