It appears that shoppers at two Sunshine Coast supermarkets are really relishing the festive season.
Sales data from Coles revealed that shoppers at the supermarket giant’s Nambour outlet love their Christmas puddings, while shoppers at Noosa are mad for mangoes.
The two stores have sold more of the popular Christmas goods than any other Coles store in Queensland.
Coles also revealed which states have the biggest appetite for its popular festive items this Christmas.
Queenslanders will tuck into more Christmas hams per capita than NSW and Tasmanian customers combined, enough of the Christmas classic to fill more than seven jumbo jets.
Data also revealed mangoes and cherries are also at the top of Queensland customers’ shopping lists, purchasing the most per capita than any other state or territory.
NSW shoppers are purchasing the most prawns, salmon and oysters, indulging in more than triple the volume of seafood than South Australia and Tasmania, while Victorians snap up the most lobsters per capita.
Western and South Australians are the biggest sweet tooths this festive season, devouring the most puddings, fruit mince pies and pavlovas per capita.
While data per capita shows Queenslanders also trump the nation for the most Christmas crackers purchased to date, Tasmanian customers are topping the list with the most wrapping paper purchased at Coles.
