NRL trial: Broncos v Titans

Margi Parry Retrospective
Caloundra Regional Gallery, in collaboration with Sunshine Coast Libraries, presents Margi Parry’s Retrospective: Views Of Life. This exhibition is a “look back” on her life’s body of work as an artist, draughtsperson and writer that covers themes of industry, travel, nature, flora and landscape. Poetry and diverse materials such as collage, clay, pen and ink, watercolour and wood are presented as a collection of the artist’s perspectives of life, memories, moments and experiences.

Mahalia Barnes In Concert
Mahalia Barnes has been in and around music her entire life. Artists such as Mahalia Jackson, Ray Charles, Sam Cooke, Ike and Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder helped shape her into the powerhouse soul and blues vocalist that has jaws dropping every time she picks up a mic.

Normie Rowe and Denise Drysdale
Normie and Denise have been friends since they were teenagers. When they met, he was an emerging recording artist on The GO!! Show and she was recognised as Australia’s first go-go dancer on new music show Kommotion. Their careers since have seen them enjoy success across the entertainment spectrum. Rowe was at the peak of his pop stardom when he was called up to the Army, including service in Vietnam. He later re-established his career in major Sydney clubs, on TV and in his role as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables.

Maleny Music Festival Warm-Up

The Umbilical Brothers’ New Show

Trivia for the Animals
The Trivia for the Animals fundraiser for the Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge has grown so much over the past few years that it has moved to a bigger venue, with the generous support of the Sunshine Coast Function Centre and Caloundra RSL. The annual event will include trivia, raffles, games and a silent auction, along with lots of great food choices by the Caloundra RSL. All proceeds will support the cats and dogs at SCARS who are waiting for their forever homes. Book your team of eight before tables run out.

The Wharf Family Fun Day
Get ready to take part in a fantastic range of fun at the Family Fun Day, hosted by Sunshine Coast icons The Wharf Mooloolaba and SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast. The event will include live music, face painting, balloon twisting, fairy floss and, for all the animal lovers, the chance to get ‘hands on’ when the reptiles make an appearance too. SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast will be open between 9am and 3pm and is offering free entry for kids to celebrate (terms and conditions apply). Film Inspiration concert
Following its 50th birthday celebrations in 2022, the Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra begins its 2023 performances with Film Inspiration, including powerful pieces that inspired famous film music. You will recognise music from cinema masterpieces such as Apocalypse Now, The King’s Speech and Schindler’s List, as well as music that inspired compositions for films such as James Bond’s Moonraker and ET. This concert will be the SCSO’s first at its new home venue, The Events Centre, Caloundra. The move to a larger venue marks an exciting new era for the orchestra in terms of its profile and the experience it will be able to offer its audiences. The concert marks a second milestone for the orchestra as it welcomes its new conductor, Dr Fletcher Mitchell.

Cool Britannia set to rock

Dawn Sounds tour
