Saturday, April 8, 10.30pm: A person was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in a stable condition, after a two-vehicle crash on the corner of Gympie Street and Maleny Street at Landsborough at 3.22pm.

Saturday, April 8, 1.45pm: Two people were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in stable conditions, after a two-vehicle crash on Petrie Creek Road and David Low Way at Diddillibah at 11.13am.
Saturday, April 8, 8.20am: A man was airlifted to hospital late yesterday, after he came close to drowning at a beach in the Great Sandy National Park.
The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew was called into action just before 5.30pm, tasked by Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA).
AMSA was alerted when a person on the beach set off a Satellite Emergency Notification Device (SEND), indicating the exact location of the incident, which happened in an area with limited mobile phone reception.
Queensland Police Service officers cleared a landing zone on the sand for the rescue helicopter.
Emergency services were told the man, who was camping with friends at the popular tourist area, had been swimming in the ocean when he became caught in a rip.
He was reportedly in extreme difficulty and had gone under the surface a number of times, when a man on a surfboard came to the rescue, pulling him from the water and taking him to shore.
The patient, who is aged in his 20s, was conscious and able to walk, when he was assessed by the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor.
He was flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition for further medical treatment.
Saturday, April 8, 6am: Police are investigating following the armed robbery of a business in Little Mountain on Friday, April 7.
About 10.45pm a man entered a Parklands Boulevard business armed with a metal pole and made demands for money and cigarettes from the male attendant, who complied.
The man struck the attendant about the head with the pole and fled the store on foot with a sum of money and cigarettes.
The victim sustained minor injuries to the head and was transported to hospital.
Police are appealing for public assistance to identify the man, who is described as Caucasian, about 180cm tall with a proportionate build and was wearing a dark blue hoodie, black pants and grey runners.

Saturday, April 8, 6am: More than 2000 customers without power in the Sunshine Coast area. The majority of affected customers were in Buderim, with others including Maroochydore, Mons and Tanawha.
The cause was under investigation, according to the Energex website.
Friday, April 7, 10.10pm: A severe thunderstorm warning was cancelled at 8.30pm.
Severe thunderstorms were no longer affecting the South-East Queensland area, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary.
More than 600 homes were without power at Chevallum, Eudlo, Ilkley, Mooloolah Valley, Palmwoods and Tanawha.

The Bureau of Meteorology, at 6.38pm, said very dangerous thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near the area northwest of Esk, Toogoolawah and Oakey. Friday, April 7, 8.20am: New airline Bonza today celebrates its first commercial flight to Albury. Customers were treated to a visit from the Easter Bunny as well as purple hot cross buns from Adriana Zumbo when departing Sunshine Coast Airport.
Thursday, April 6, 5.40pm: Multiple paramedics were responding to a reported mountain bike crash on the Parklands Mountain Bike Trails at 5.11pm.
Thursday, April 6, 2.45pm: Paramedics assessed two people, in stable conditions, after a caravan crash on the Bruce Highway at Parklands at 1.59pm. They declined treatment or transport. Traffic was delayed.

Thursday, April 6, 10.20am: A person was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in a stable condition, after a car crashed into the Royal George Hotel building on the corner of Currie and Mill streets at Nambour at 9am. The front of the car was damaged and there was minor damage to the recently-painted pub wall and a door.
Thursday, April 6, 8.45am: Mostly fine weather is forecast for the four-day Easter break, apart from showers and possible storms later on Friday. Saturday is forecast to be sunny and 32 degrees, while Sunday and Monday will also be sunny with tops of 29 and 27 degrees respectively.
Wednesday, April 5, 5.40pm: Paramedics assessed three people following a two-vehicle crash on Barcrest Drive and Yandina Coolum Road at Yandina, at 2.57pm. Two patients were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following the crash.
Wednesday, April 5, 11.45am: Investigators are continuing to seek public assistance to locate a 17-year-old girl who has been missing from Buderim for more than a week.
The teenager (pictured) was last seen on March 26 when she left her Sunnyridge Rise address on foot.
Investigators hold concerns for her welfare and are appealing for anyone who may have seen her to contact police.
The girl’s current whereabouts are unknown, however, she is believed to still be in the Sunshine Coast area, possibly with people who are known to her.
She may seek assistance from members of the public.
She is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 165cm tall with long blonde hair and brown eyes.
Investigators are appealing for the girl or anyone with further information to contact police.

Tuesday, April 4, 1pm: A patient in a stable condition was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a post-immersion incident at Bulcock Beach at Caloundra at 11.45am.
Tuesday, April 4, 12.10pm: Trains are operating between Nambour and Yandina again, after the line there was closed for repairs. Services resumed on Monday, after week-long recovery works were required at the rail bridge at Brockhurst Road in Nambour, which was struck by an over-height vehicle. “Thank you for your patience whilst our crews restored services as quickly and as safely possible,” Queensland Rail said.
Tuesday, April 4, 10.05am: Paramedics were on scene of a two-vehicle crash on the Sunshine Motorway northbound at Mooloolaba just before 9am. All occupants were reported to be in stable conditions.
Two patients were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following the incident.

Sunday, April 2, 7.15am: Five patients, all in stable conditions, were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a two-vehicle crash on the corner of Rainforest Road and Sawreys Road, Chevallum, at 5.53pm yesterday. The patients were:
- a female in her 30s with back pain;
- a female in her teens with a head injury;
- a patient in their early teens with neck pain;
- a patient in their early teens with neck pain; and
- a child with head and neck pain.
