A Bee Story

Heritage Talks: Early Pioneers of the Glass House Mountains 

Join retired University of the Sunshine Coast professor Ken Greenwood as he talks about pioneers at the oldest-known surviving building in the Glass House Mountains district. Ken will discuss Bankfoot House and pioneering settlement in the region and consider land use and occupancy in rural Queensland during the late 19th century and 20th century.

Peachester Bush Dance 

It’s time to kick up your heels and toes at the Peachester Bush Dance, led by the music and callers of the Landscape Band. The Peachester Bush Dance is the inaugural dance of the Peachester Dance Committee, and aims to raise funds to go towards a new air-conditioner for Peachester Hall. While raising funds is a good goal, the primary purpose of the Peachester Dance Committee is to recognise and assist the community of Peachester and surrounds to regain some of the confidence and vigour lost over the past few years.
