A 21-year-old Buddina man has been charged following an alleged assault in Maroochydore earlier this year.
About 2.15am on February 4, a 23-year-old Teneriffe man accompanied by a 30-year-old Mooloolaba man and a 25-year-old Mooloolaba man were walking along Ocean Street near the intersection of Horton Parade.
Police will allege the three men were approached by a group of men and assaulted.
The 23-year-old man fell to the ground and lost consciousness.
He sustained lacerations and bruising and was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
The other two men with him were also allegedly assaulted and sustained minor injuries.
The 21-year-old Buddina man was arrested in Buddina on April 28 and has been charged with one count of common assault and two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.
He appeared before Maroochydore Magistrates Court on April 29 and is due to next appear on May 4.
