A free community event is set to celebrate entrepreneurship and self-employment on the Sunshine Coast.

The Enterprise and Training Company will host the Maroochydore Entrepreneurship Expo, which is designed to provide a platform for local small businesses, subject matter experts and service providers to collaborate and showcase their ventures, as well as to inspire and educate aspiring and existing small business owners on various aspects of entrepreneurship.

Selena Baillie, ETC’s program manager of Workforce Australia – Self-Employment Assistance, said the expo was part of its commitment to support the growth and development of small businesses in the communities it operates in.

“At our entrepreneurship expo, participants can expect a jam-packed day of engaging activities, including cultural experiences that celebrate our diverse local community, and presentations with self-employment ambassadors and subject matter experts who can share their insights and advice on various aspects of entrepreneurship,” she said.

The expo will gather stallholders – from new and established small business owners, experts and small-business ambassadors – to showcase products, services and expertise that all come together to create a thriving small business community.

It will be held at the Maroochy RSL Events Centre on Wednesday, June 7.
