A showcase of everything related to electric vehicles is returning to the Coast this weekend for its fifth edition.

The event is for anyone thinking of buying an EV car, or who wants to try an e-bike or e-scooter, or you can even check out Australia’s first EV ute.

Presented by Zero Emissions Noosa, the 2023 Noosa EV Expo and Street Fest is on Sunday, June 18, from 10am-2pm at Noosa Junction.

“With 33 per cent of Noosa shire emissions from transport, the EV expo, now in its fifth year, is a great place to look, listen and learn about sustainable transport options,” Noosa Mayor Clare Stewart said.

“By using electric cars, scooters and bikes, we can reduce our carbon footprint while living and working in the Noosa Biosphere. Cutting emissions is everyone’s responsibility.”

ZEN Inc chair Anne Kennedy says there’ll be something for everybody at this year’s expo.

“It is a one-stop shop for people to look, listen and learn about the latest EV cars at all price points, as well as vans, motorbikes, bicycles and even an electric four-door ute,” she said.

“People will be also be able to find out about ‘green loans’ to finance new and second-hand EVs.

“We have 64 enthusiastic exhibitors filling Sunshine Beach Road at Noosa Junction, who are keen to show, explain and answer questions about their products.

“People who came last year said it was a great opportunity to look, listen and learn about everything EV.

“You can test ride e-scooters and e-bikes, and also sign up to test drive an electric car on the days following the expo.

“Private EV owners will have their EVs there so you can talk to them about what it is like to own and run an EV.”

E-racing teams will also have their vehicles on display, and Noosa Junction cafes will be open, with musicians performing and face painting for kids.

“Zero Emissions Noosa Inc really appreciates the support from Noosa Council and the Noosa Junction Association again supporting the expo,” Ms Kennedy said.
