UPDATED: Sunday, July 16, 7am: Police are investigating following an alleged wounding in Hastings Street, Noosa, this morning.
Police will allege a verbal argument between a 15-year-old male and a 25-year-old man escalated just before 4am, before the youth left and returned with a bottle and a knife. A physical altercation resulted in the 25-year-old being stabbed in the back and wrist.
Bystanders restrained the 15-year-old boy until police arrived, arresting him.
The 15-year-old has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.
Investigators urge anyone with information or relevant vision to contact police.
Investigations are continuing.

Friday, July 14, 6am: Police are warning members of the public to be vigilant after several people fell victim to a scam which appears to be targeting elderly residents.
People claiming to be from their banking institutions call victims and advise them to withdraw money for a representative from the bank to collect in cash from their home address, as an employee is emptying customer accounts internally.
The victims are told its to safeguard them, and the bank representative will deposit the cash in a safe account while internal investigations identify their own employee who is stealing.
Several people across South-East Queensland have fallen victim to this scam.
During one of the attempted scams in June, a victim called police saying their bank had instructed them to withdraw $10,000 cash. That afternoon, police intercepted and arrested a 43-year-old Ngunnawal (ACT) man at the victim’s house.
He has since been charged with three counts of money laundering and one count possess tainted property.
He was remanded in custody to reappear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on September 15.
Investigators warn others who are at risk of falling victim to these scams to remain vigilant.
Be wary of any bank investment asking to pay funds or deposit cash. Contact the bank directly using a known phone number on their website to verify legitimacy before following any instructions. If you are cold called or emailed, never provide personal, bank account or credit card details and do not open links.

Thursday, July 13, 10.20am: A person was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in a stable condition, following a single-vehicle rollover on Maleny Kenilworth Road at Witta at 9.10am.
Thursday, July 13, 10.20am: Two people were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in stable conditions, following a two-vehicle crash on the corner of Mayfield Street and Alexandra Parade at Alexandra Headland at 8.18am.
Thursday, July 13, 6.30am: Patients were transported to hospital overnight after separate crashes on the Sunshine Coast.
At Sippy Downs, one stable patient was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) following a two-vehicle crash on the corner of Columbia Street and University Way about 1.30am.
In an earlier incident at Mooloolaba, two stable patients – one a female in her 20s – were transported to SCUH after a two-vehicle crash on the Sunshine Motorway south bound at 5.52pm. Both had back injuries.
Paramedics also attended a garage fire on The Esplanade at Bulcock Beach in Caloundra, just after midnight. No patients were reported on the scene.

Wednesday, July 12, 1.30pm: A man was airlifted by helicopter to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, with a head injury, following a single-vehicle crash on Eumundi Kenilworth Road, Belli Park, at 11.50am.
Updated at 6.30pm: The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew took the patient to hospital, after he was injured when the ute he was driving collided with a tree this afternoon.
The rescue chopper was tasked to the crash site around midday. The pilot landed the aircraft in a large clearing close to the scene, where other emergency services were working to free the trapped driver from his vehicle.
Queensland Ambulance Service officers transported the man to the waiting rescue helicopter.
He was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Wednesday, July 12, 8.35am: Three patients were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in stable conditions after a three-vehicle crash on the Sunshine Motorway northbound at Mountain Creek at 7.58am.
Wednesday, July 12, 6.45am: One male patient in his 30s was transported in a stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a vehicle and motorcycle crash on the corner of King Street and Gloucester Road, Buderim, at 6.12pm last night.
Tuesday, July 11, 4.30pm: Police are investigating the theft of a boat from the secure boat storage area at Mooloolaba Marina.
The boat, which is a black Offshore Marine Master 680WA half-cabin vessel, was parked inside the secure fenced storage area at the marina and was last seen around 4pm on July 9.
The boat was noticed missing around 6am on July 10.
Police investigations are ongoing.
Tuesday, July 11, 1.45pm: The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service will conduct a planned burn within the Tibrogargan section of Glass House Mountains National Park tomorrow, weather permitting.
This burn is part of the annual hazard reduction and conservation management program for parks and forests.
As a result, smoke may be seen in the Beerburrum, Glass House and Beerwah areas.
The east side access of Mount Tibrogargan will be closed for the duration of the burn.
