An established accounting and business advisory firm has announced a major rebrand as it looks to grow its client base and staff numbers.

Peta Grenfell and Brendon Murray have rebranded from Bentleys to create Grenfell Murray.

Ms Grenfell commenced with Bentleys (formerly Peter Wilson and Associates) in 2005, while Mr Murray joined the firm in 2002 and moved to the Sunshine Coast office in 2017.

The pair felt the time was right to create a business that reflected their mission to help Sunshine Coast business owners achieve their financial and life goals.

“We currently have a staff of 25 and each of our team members has a deep connection to the Sunshine Coast,” Ms Grenfell said.

Peta Grenfell.

“Our goal is to provide all of our clients with the level of expertise you would get from a big city practice, while being easily accessible to our team here on the Sunshine Coast.

“We feel trying to operate an accountancy practice in conjunction with a Brisbane or a national firm just doesn’t work as well as being based locally, where you can meet with the client and truly understand their needs.

“We also feel it’s important to contribute to the local community, which we do through our involvement with a number of organisations including Lifeflight, Compass and the Matthew Flinders College board.”

Brendon Murray.

Mr Murray said the firm would remain at its current location at 9 Nicklin Way, Minyama, and revealed that recruiting more staff was high on the agenda.

“We’ve got a great team but we are always looking to add quality talent to our business and this includes senior accountants through to new graduates,” he said.

“There’s plenty of opportunities for us to grow and we are keen to find the right applicants who are committed to growing with our business.

“Another goal over the next few years includes the consolidation of our services with current clients and providing career development opportunities for our leaders, along with increasing our commitment to local community activities.”
