Saturday, September 9, 5.40am: Police are seeking public assistance to help locate a woman who may be in the Cooroy or Gympie areas after going missing from the Logan area.
Emma Jane Wallwork (pictured), 28, left her home in Loganlea at 3pm on Friday, September 8.
Family and police hold concerns for her whereabouts as this behaviour is out of character and she has a medical condition.
It’s believed she left the address in her black 2022 Mazda BT-50 utility, with Queensland registration 438GF6, and may be driving towards the Cooroy or Gympie areas.
She is described as having a fair complexion, 168cm tall, thin build with blue eyes and long brown hair.
Police are appealing to Emma, or anyone with information regarding her whereabouts, to contact them.

Friday, September 8, 1pm: A man in his 60s was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in a critical condition, following a post immersion incident at Rainbow Beach at 9am. He was transported by LifeFlight helicopter 511.
Friday, September 8, 11.20am: There’s the chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon and evening. The Bureau of Meteorology said, at 11.16am, there was a high chance of showers and a possible storm, with 15km/hr to 25km/hr northerly winds becoming light in the late evening.
It should be sunny on Saturday and partly cloudy on Sunday, with south to south-easterly winds and temperatures ranging from 12ºC to 23ºC.
Friday, September 8, 5.15am: The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew airlifted an elderly man to hospital, after he fell 5m from a tree.
The rescue aircraft was called to the Noosa region, around 11.40am yesterday, following the incident at a private property.
The pilot landed the chopper at a nearby oval, where the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor treated the patient, who had been transported from the scene by local Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics.
The man, aged in his 70s, suffered significant chest injuries. He was flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for further treatment.
Thursday, September 7, 3pm: A patient in a serious condition was airlifted by helicopter to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital following a fall from a tree at a private address at Cooran at 11.31am (updated above).

Thursday, September 7, 11.30am: Two people were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in stable conditions, following a single-vehicle crash on Bridge Creek Road at Maleny at 8.41am.
Thursday, September 7, 11.25am: A section of Alex Forest Conservation Area at Alexandra Headland is undergoing a planned burn today between 9am to 4pm, as part of Sunshine Coast Council’s Bushfire Management Program.
A 1.5-hectare section will be burnt. Smoke impacts to surrounding residents and road users should be minimal. To reduce the impact on animals, a corridor will be maintained for wildlife.
The aim of the burn is to reduce the volume of forest fuels and to maintain fire-adapted ecosystems.
The area will be closed during burn operations and for at least a day following the burn.

Tuesday, September 5, 8.45am: Specialist child safety detectives from Task Force Argos, alongside officers from multiple child protection and investigation units, have charged six men with more than 100 child sex offences following extensive investigations in the lead-up to Child Protection Week.
Among them was a 44-year-old Beerwah man, who was taken in to custody on August 25 and charged with 62 child sex offences including the possession and making of child exploitation material, as well as the use of a carriage service to access and distribute child abuse material on various social media platforms. He is due to appear at Maroochydore Magistrates Court on October 20.

Monday, September 4, 3pm: Paramedics were on the scene of a traffic crash involving about nine vehicles on the Bruce Highway.
The southbound lanes were blocked following the crash 2km south of the Caloundra interchange.
Queensland Police said that while diversions were currently in place onto Steve Irwin Way, motorists were advised to avoid the area if possible.
Monday, September 4, 11.50am: Two patients in stable conditions were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a vehicle collided with a parked vehicle on Bells Creek Arterial Road at Corbould Park at 11.24am.
Monday, September 4, 8.45am: A patient in a stable condition was transported to Nambour Hospital after a three-vehicle crash on Woombye Palmwoods Road, Woombye, at 7.56am.
Monday, September 4, 6am: The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a serious crash at Bli Bli yesterday afternoon.
Initial investigations indicate around 5.10pm, a Mazda B2600 utility travelled along David Low Way before it struck a 12-year-old boy, who had been riding a scooter.
Emergency services arrived a short time later, with the boy being airlifted in a critical condition to Queensland Children’s Hospital.
The driver of the Mazda, a 27-year-old Bli Bli man, was not physically injured and is assisting police with their inquiries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have relevant dashcam/CCTV vision of the area to come forward.

Sunday, September 3, 9.20am: Paramedics attended a two-vehicle crash on Gannawarra Street and Nicklin Way at Currimundi at 9.38pm. Two males sustained back injuries and were transported stable to Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Another three people were uninjured and did not require further medical treatment.
Sunday, September 3, 5.30am: A patient in a stable condition was transported to Nambour Hospital after a vehicle collided with a stationary vehicle on the Bruce Highway northbound at Nambour at 4.27pm.
