Sunday, October 22, 7.30pm: A person was transported to Nambour Hospital, in a stable condition, following a quad bike rollover on Reserve Street at 1.41pm.

Sunday, October 22, 1pm: The bushfire warning for Mawsons Road at Beerwah, was cancelled at 10.14am. There is an Advice – Avoid Smoke warning still current for the Beerwah area.

Saturday, October 21, 6.10pm: A bushfire warning for the Mawsons Road and Holts Road area at Beerwah has been downgraded to advice level.

People who left the area have been told they can return with caution, as of 5.53pm.

The fire was still travelling towards Mawsons Road but firefighters were on site and the fire was burning in containment lines..

People from the area were told to watch out for burnt trees, hot embers on the ground and fallen powerlines.

Fire conditions had eased but the situation could change quickly.

There has been no damage in the area. No properties are in danger at this time. Some roads could be closed because of fallen trees, branches or powerlines. Mobile phone and internet services might not work.

Smoke may stay in the area for several days and can make it hard for some people to breathe.

Saturday, October 21, 5.15pm: A bushfire emergency warning was issued for Mawsons Road at Beerwah 3.19pm.

A fast-moving fire was expected to impact Mawsons Road within an hour.

People in the area were urged to leave immediately as their lives could be at risk and they were told it would soon be too dangerous to drive. They were told to avoid driving on Mawsons Road.

Firefighting aircraft were helping ground crews.

A northbound lane of the Bruce Highway was closed as police continued to assist with a large vegetation fire in Beerwah.

A seperate advice warning, to avoid smoke, was issued for the Beerwah and surrounding areas at 3.01pm.

Saturday, October 21, 5.15pm: Paramedics transported three people, in stable conditions, to Nambour Hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Foley Road at Woombye at 5.38pm.

Saturday, October 21, 6am: A stable patient was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Cogill and Ballinger roads, Buderim, at 3.05pm.

Friday, October 20, 12.35pm: Paramedics were assessing a patient after they reportedly fell onto rocks at Gardner Falls off Obi Lane at Maleny at 12.12pm.

A patient in a stable condition was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with a head injury following the fall.

Friday, October 20, 12.35pm: Paramedics were assessing a person after a vehicle collided with a tree on Cinnamon Ave and Banksia Ave at Coolum Beach at 11.52am. The patient was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in a stable condition at Coolum Beach.

Friday, October 20, 5am: A 41-year-old man has been charged with several offences following an alleged incident at a Wrigley Street address in Maroochydore just before 10am on Wednesday.

It will be alleged the man was seen carrying a knife in the common area of a unit complex, following a verbal disagreement with another man.

It will also be alleged he stopped outside a woman’s unit while armed, before returning to his residence.

Police were called and, upon arrival, it will be alleged they found a knife, a quantity of drugs and drug paraphernalia in the man’s possession.

No one was physically injured.

The Maroochydore man has been charged with forcible entry, possessing dangerous drugs, possess utensils or pipes, and possess property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence.

He was given police bail to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on November 6

Thursday, October 19, 9.20am: Paramedics transported three patients to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in stable conditions following a two-vehicle crash on Crosby Hill Road and Tanawha Tourist Drive, Tanawha, at 8.14am.

Thursday, October 19, 6.45am: The popular waterplay area at Hinterland Adventure Playground in Cooroy is currently closed to fix a water issue. 

“Noosa Council is aware of the issue with the waterplay area at the Hinterland Adventure Playground,” acting council CEO Larry Sengstock said.

“Staff have identified a fault in the reticulation system supplying water to the waterplay area and are working to fix the problem. We appreciate the community’s patience while the issue is resolved.”

No timeline on its repair was provided.

Wednesday, October 18, 2.05pm: One patient in a stable condition was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following an e-scooter and vehicle incident on West Terrace, Caloundra, at 1.06pm.

Wednesday, October 18, 12.10pm: One stable patient was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a vehicle and pedestrian incident on the corner of Caloundra Road and Baldwin Street, Caloundra, at 11.12am.

Wednesday, October 18, 9am: One stable patient was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a fall from a bicycle on Ballinger Road, Buderim, at 8.03am.

Wednesday, October 18, 9am: Paramedics attended a three-vehicle crash on the corner of Old Maroochydore Road and Stark Lane, Forest Glen, at 7.38am. No patients required transport to hospital.

Tuesday, October 17, 3.45pm: A person was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a two-vehicle crash on the corner of Aerodrome Road and Fourth Avenue at Maroochydore at 2.11pm.

Tuesday, October 17, 12.55pm (updated 6.35pm): Two people were assessed for serious injuries following a two-motorcycle crash on Maleny Kenilworth Road, Conondale, at 12.20pm.

One person, in a serious condition, was transported by road to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, and one person, in a serious condition, was airlifted by a Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. The man suffered injuries to his pelvis and chest. 

Tuesday, October 17, 8.05am: Emergency services attended a shed fire on Ridge Road at Maroochydore at 12.56am. No patients were reported on scene.

Monday, October 16, 5.05pm: A stable patient was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a vehicle and motorcycle crash on Palmview Forest Drive, Palmview, at 4.31pm.

Sunday, October 15, 1.10pm: Paramedics transported a patient to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition after a single-vehicle crash into a tree on Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba, at 11.58am.

Sunday, October 15, 12.45pm: Paramedics transported a patient to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition after a motorcycle crash into a post on Tunnel Ridge Road, Landsborough, at 10.59am.
