A Coast couple say they felt numb with shock and disbelief when they realised they’d scored a $650,000 lotto win last weekend.

The Currimundi residents held one of eight division one-winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4417, drawn on Saturday. Each division one winner scored $653,226.42.

“We’re pretty excited,” the wife said when their prize was confirmed by an official from The Lott.

“We got a message on Monday asking us to check our tickets, so I went online and entered the ticket number to see.

“I felt a bit numb to be honest. We looked at it a few times.

“We just said a couple of days ago, maybe this ticket will be the lucky one. And there you go.

“But I don’t think we’ll really believe it until it’s in our bank account.

“We haven’t got any firm plans yet but I’m sure enjoying the prize won’t be a problem.

“I think we’re going to have a pretty good Christmas time and a great 2024.

“Thank you for the great news.”

The couple’s winning 12-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Currimundi News at Currimundi Markets.

The winning numbers were 8, 7, 26, 31, 16 and 15, and the supplementary numbers were 44 and 6.

The Lott’s division one-winning tally has now reached 371 so far in 2023.
