The huge parcel of vacant land may look lonely and unsightly now, as about 45,000 motorists a day whiz past.
But one of the Sunshine Coast’s prime commercial properties has just gone under contract and may soon boast a fresh new face.
Town sales manager Jamie Vibert said the sale of the 3242sqm development site on the former Pacific Ford car yard in Currimundi was expected to be finalised in late January.

He said that while developers “hold their cards close to chest”, he thought Sunshine Coast Council would want to see something built there that was befitting of the land’s size and location.
