A large property along one of the region’s most desirable beach strips is poised to change hands.

No.245 Oceanic Drive – the biggest block along the 3km road – is set to be sold via auction on January 31.

The elevated 900sqm parcel of land at Bokarina is about 50 per cent larger than the average property in the area.

The multi-level home boasts three bedrooms, three bathrooms, two car spaces and features including Tasmanian oak, exposed beams and a wood fireplace.

There are also sky-light windows and a rooftop entertaining area with panoramic views.

The home backs on to the foreshore and a 12km stretch of beach, and is next to a park.

It’s also close to major shopping centres, schools, the region’s main hospital and Sunshine Coast Stadium.

Ray White Kawana Waters real estate agent and auctioneer Adam Budd said the property was highly sought after.

“245 Oceanic Drive is a unique and desirable property, with its substantial size, elevated block and multi-level design,” he said.

He said the size of the block was “a significant feature” as it is the only one that large on Oceanic Drive in Kawana Waters.

“Given the size of the oceanfront block, the property presents a fantastic opportunity for the new owner to capitalise on potential renovations or consider the removal of the existing property to build their dream home,” he said.

“This flexibility in options will attract buyers with various preferences and visions for the property.

“And the proximity to Satinbird Park ensures that the northern side of the property will not be obstructed, enhancing the sense of space and privacy.”

He said the house was attractive, well built and different to the normal style of property on the beachfront of Oceanic Drive.

“The architectural design that has stood the test of time is likely to be an appealing factor for potential buyers, whilst the multi-level layout sets this property apart from others on Oceanic Drive and adds to its uniqueness,” Mr Budd said.

The property is position near a beach that stretches for miles.

The property has had the same owners for almost two decades.

“Whilst they added a personal touch to the property’s history, they are looking forward to the new owners putting their stamp on the property,” Mr Budd said.

“The current owners will not be moving far as they have secured an apartment to downsize to in the nearby suburb of Buddina.”

Mr Budd said several prospective buyers had inquired about the property and more people could signal their intentions at the auction.

“The large amount of interest taken from interstate and local buyers since going to the market indicates a high level of demand for this type of property in the market,” he said.

“The upcoming auction will likely draw attention from local and interstate buyers who see the potential in the property.

“It will be interesting to see how the auction unfolds and who the fortunate new owner will be.”

The property was sold as a vacant block in 1998 for $100,000 and built on, before being sold to the current owners for $1.3m in 2004.

Much smaller properties along Oceanic Drive (from 546sqm) – some with old homes and some with new – have fetched prices upwards from $2m to the $5m range during the past couple of years.

No.227 Oceanic Drive, with an ultra-modern home on just over 600sqm, was sold for $5.05m last year. It was the highest sale price recorded for a coastline property along the Kawana stretch from Wurtulla to Buddina.
