Sunday, February 4, 12.20pm: Paramedics transported two stable patients to Caboolture Hospital after a two-vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway at Elimbah at 10.26am.
Saturday, February 3, 7.45pm: The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a man to hospital, after he was injured in a paragliding incident off Teewah Beach.
The rescue chopper was called to the area just after 3.15pm and the LifeFlight rescue pilot was able to safely land on sand close to the crash scene.
It is believed the paraglider fell about 10 metres, before hitting the sand then rolling to the bottom of the dune.
Passersbys assisted the paraglider and called emergency services.
An RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic worked to treat the patient for spinal injuries. The man in his 20s was then airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
Saturday, February 3, 7.45pm: Two patients have been transported to Sunshine Coast University and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital after a two-vehicle crash on New Toorbul Point Road and Pumicestone Road at Caboolture at 4.29pm.

Saturday, February 3, 7.45am: Paramedics remained on standby at a house fire on Elizabeth Street at Nambour at 9.18pm. No patients were treated no transports were required.
Friday, February 2, 1.45pm: A Queensland woman has discovered she will take home half of the country’s largest-ever jackpot of $200 million while getting ready for an early-morning gym class.
The woman from the Brisbane suburb of Hawthorne was reportedly preparing to head out for her 6am class on Friday when she realised lottery officials had been searching for her.
She had bought an unregistered ticket for Thursday night’s draw, meaning officials had to wait for her to come forward to claim her share – the equal second-largest individual lottery win in Australian history.
The Lott had said earlier that they were waiting for the lucky winner to claim their prize.
The other $100m winner is from New South Wales.

Friday, February 2, 8am: A vehicle and bicycle incident occurred at 6.16am on Farrell Street and Steggalls Road at Yandina. One patient was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Friday, February 2, 5.30am: Expect only a slight chance of a shower during a partly cloudy weekend on the Sunshine Coast. A low-intensity heatwave is expected, with temperatures ranging from 23 to 31 degrees Celsius at Maroochydore. There should be light winds to 20kmh easterlies.
Thursday, February 1, 1.20pm: A final flood watch has been issued for coastal catchments between Gladstone and Caboolture.
Rainfall has generally eased across the flood watch area, and no significant rainfall is expected during the next few days. Catchments no longer at risk include the Noosa River and Sunshine Coast rivers and creeks.

Wednesday, January 31, 12.50pm: A total of 2300 Energex customers were without power in the Noosa area.
The affected suburbs were Sunrise Beach (1204 customers), Sunshine Beach (857) and Noosa Heads (239). The cause was listed as ‘under investigation’.
The outage has since been fixed.
Wednesday, January 31, 8.20am: A severe weather warning for the Sunshine Coast was cancelled overnight, after parts of the region received heavy falls yesterday. Although humid and unstable conditions remain, there is little risk of widespread heavy rainfall redeveloping. A flood watch remains for catchments of the Noosa River and Sunshine Coast rivers and creeks.
Wednesday, January 31, 7.30am: The line-up for Groovin the Moo, which is coming to the Sunshine Coast Stadium precinct on Sunday, May 5, has been revealed.
Australian acts DMA’s, Hot Dub Time Machine, The Jungle Giants, Mallrat, San Cisco and Alison Wonderland will be joined by GZA from Wu-Tang, Stephen Sanchez, Claire Rosenkranz and Armani White from the US; Melanie C (aka Sporty Spice), Kenya Grace, The Kooks and Mura Masa from the UK; The Beaches from Canada; and Meduza from Italy.
Tickets to the music festival go on sale on Tuesday, February 6, via Moshtix.
The change of venue will enable the festival to host 35,000 people, an increase of 10,000 people from its Sunshine Coast debut last year, which took place at the Kawana Sports Western Precinct at Birtinya.
Tuesday, January 30, 6.30pm: Two stable patients were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a two-vehicle crash on the Sunshine Motorway at Marcoola at 2.46pm.
Tuesday, January 30, 1.55pm: Police have released new images as they continue attempts to locate 29-year-old Luke Gourlay, missing from Burnside near Nambour since December 23.
New information indicates Luke was seen walking along Steve Irwin Way at Landsborough around 4pm on December 26, 2023.
Officers have release CCTV stills that may prompt the public to recognise Luke.
Police and family continue to hold concerns for Luke’s welfare, as his disappearance is out of character.
He is described as fair skinned, approximately 180cm tall with a slim build, brown hair and blue eyes. As pictured, he was last seen wearing a green T-shirt, grey shorts, orange shoes and a blue hat.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police. Investigations are continuing.

The Bureau of Meteorology warned that, at 10.20am, a severe thunderstorm likely to produce heavy, locally intense rainfall that may lead to dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding was detected near Caboolture and Beerburrum.
This thunderstorm is slow moving. It is forecast to affect the area southwest of Caloundra and northern Bribie Island by 10.50am and Wamuran by 11.20am.

Tuesday, January 30, 7.25am: A severe weather warning has been updated for parts of South-East Queensland, including the Sunshine Coast.
The BOM warned, at 4.53am, of heavy, locally intense rainfall.
A surface trough over southeast Queensland is expected to sharpen today, then gradually move north overnight tonight, potentially deepening into a low pressure system around Hervey Bay. This system is forecast to move away from Queensland’s east coast during Wednesday afternoon or evening, clearing all severe weather.
Heavy rainfall which may lead to flash flooding is also possible, with six-hourly rainfall totals between 150-250mm are likely. Locally intense rainfall which may lead to dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding is also is also possible with six-hourly rainfall totals between 150-200mm.
Monday, January 29, 2.55pm: A patient was transported in a stable condition to Nambour Hospital following a walking incident at a location near the Mount Coolum track at 11.03am.
Monday, January 29, 1.20pm: A flood watch has been issued for parts of South-East Queensland, including areas of the Sunshine Coast.
The BOM issued a flood watch, at 1.08pm, for catchments including the Noosa River and Sunshine Coast rivers and creeks.
A slow-moving trough is forecast to become established within a very moist tropical airmass over South-East Queensland during Monday into Tuesday. Locally moderate to heavy rainfall is likely with showers and thunderstorms over the next few days. Some areas may receive heavy rainfall over consecutive days which will increase the flood risk.

Sunday, January 28, 12.30pm: A stable patient was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with a leg injury after two row boats collided in waters off Alexandra Parade at 11.28am.
Sunday, January 28, 9.55am: Some storms and significant falls are expected on the Sunshine Coast during the next few days. The BOM predicted that Maroochydore could receive 35-75mm on Sunday, 0-25mm on Monday, 10-50mm on Tuesday and 1-50mm on Wednesday. The rain comes off the back of some hot days in the region, when the temperature reached the low to mid-30s but it felt hotter with high humidity.
