A well-known and conspicuous house perched on top of the Sunshine Coast is set to go under the hammer.
No.15 Foote Ridge, with its striking yellow residence, has attracted significant interest ahead of auction on February 10.
The four-bedroom, four-bathroom, two-car-space home is a landmark atop Buderim, due to its bold colour, elegant design and amazing views.
Next Property Group Sunshine Coast’s Richard Scrivener said the property was one of a kind in the region.
“It’s a well-known house among locals … a lot of people in Buderim know about the house,” he said.

“It’s ‘the yellow house’, but it’s also at the end of the cul-de-sac on Foote Ridge, a very desirable and sought-after street.
“It’s 1100sqm of land with some of the most outstanding views you would ever want, and the view won’t ever go away because you’re so high on the ridge.
“You don’t often see homes with this kind of view come into the market.”
The vantage point, on the northern escarpment, takes in spectacular ocean views and overlooks much of the Sunshine Coast.
The four-year-old residence is grand, with more than 600sqm of living space and lift to access multiple levels.
“The concrete construction of the house is phenomenal,” Mr Scrivener said.
“It’s a beautiful home which suits all kinds of buyers, including families or downsizers or someone who wants a home but doesn’t want to worry about stairs.
“It’s very well put together.”
Mr Scrivener said several parties had already expressed their interest in purchasing the property.
“We’ve had such good interest during the first two weeks of marketing,” he said.
“We’re only halfway through the campaign and we’ve already had 30 inspections through open homes and there is multiple interest (in buying), so we’ll see how it pans out on the day (but) I’m pretty sure it will sell under the hammer.
Mr Scrivener said the current owners were fond of the house and its vivid appearance, but they were ready to move to a smaller property.
“The family loves the colour and brightness of the property,” he said.
“It’s their own piece of art. They created it and they love it. But they are downsizing to something smaller on a low-set block.
“They love the area so much they are staying close by.”
It’s difficult to put a price tag on the property because of its rare appearance and its spectacular views, but Sunshine Coast News expects it could sell for significantly well over $4 million.
