Sunday, February 11, 1.25pm: A patient in a serious condition was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a motorcycle crash on Obi Obi Road, Mapleton, at 11.57am.

Thursday, February 8, 11.45am: Paramedics transported a patient to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition following a vehicle and truck crash on Bli Bli Road and Prentis Road, Bli Bli, at 10.45am.

Wednesday, February 7, 5.10pm: Sunshine Coast police who have been investigating multiple dangerous driving incidents at Bli Bli are appealing for public assistance.

Initial investigations indicate about 8pm on January 17, a red Ford Falcon ute conducted dangerous driving acts at the intersection of David Low Way and Kowonga Street.

Police believe the vehicle may have been involved in a series of minor traffic crashes, dangerous driving offences and evade police about 4pm on Kawong Street, Pacific Paradise and Yinneburra Street, Yaroomba, on January 19.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen the red Ford Falcon ute with a distinctive white print on the rear tailgate driving erratically in the Sunshine Coast area to come forward.

Anyone with CCTV, dashcam or phone vision is also urged to contact police.

Wednesday, February 7, 5.10pm: Police have charged a man with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing grievous bodily harm following an incident involving two vehicles and their respective drivers at the intersection of Yandina Coolum Road and School Road, Coolum Beach, on December 22.

Emergency services were called about 5.30pm to reports of an altercation between two drivers, which appeared to have arisen after an earlier incident on Yandina Coolum Road.

A 42-year-old Sunshine Coast man has been issued a notice to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on March 7 for one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing grievous bodily harm.

The incident left a 26-year-old Kallangur woman with significant leg injuries.

Anyone who may have relevant dash-camera footage or who may have witnessed the alleged altercation is asked to contact police.

Wednesday, February 7, 6.50am: Paramedics transported a stable female patient in her 40s to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a post-immersion off Buderim Street, Currimundi, at 6.12pm last night.

Tuesday, February 6, 2.20pm: The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew was tasked to the Noosa region this morning after two people came off a jet ski.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew attended a jet ski incident in the Noosa region.

It is believed the tourists were jet skiing on the Noosa River when the incident occurred about 11am.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue pilot flew the woman, aged in her 60s, to Sunshine Coast University Hospital. She was in a stable condition with suspected spinal injuries.

The man, also in his 60s, was driven in a stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital by Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics.

Tuesday, February 6, 9.30am: A vehicle and motorcycle crash was reported on Mingus Street and Fitzwilliam Drive, Sippy Downs, at 7.15am. Paramedics transported the patient in a stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

Tuesday, February 6, 7.15am: A male in his late teens suffered an arm injury and was transported to Nambour Hospital after an e-scooter crash on Sippy Downs Drive, Sippy Downs, at 8.44pm last night.

Tuesday, February 6, 7.15am: Paramedics attended a single-vehicle rollover on Park Road, Noosa Heads, at 8.03pm last night. Two women in their late teens suffered minor injuries and declined hospitalisation, while a woman in her late teens sustained a neck injury and was transported in a stable condition to Nambour Hospital.

About 44 per cent of the state’s beachgoers (102,043 of 229,987) were on the Sunshine Coast, where surf life savers and lifeguards performed five rescues and 438 first aid treatments.

Saturday, February 3, 7.45pm: The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a man to hospital, after he was injured in a paragliding incident off Teewah Beach.

The rescue chopper was called to the area just after 3.15pm and the LifeFlight rescue pilot was able to safely land on sand close to the crash scene.

A patient is taken to the rescue helicopter after a paragliding incident.

It is believed the paraglider fell about 10 metres, before hitting the sand then rolling to the bottom of the dune.

Passersbys assisted the paraglider and called emergency services.

An RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic worked to treat the patient for spinal injuries. The man in his 20s was then airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
