A vibrant craft beer and music festival is set to be held in conjunction with one of the world’s leading surfing events.

BrewFest Noosa will be held at the Noosa Dolphins Rugby Club on March 16, during the renowned Noosa Festival of Surfing from March 8 to 17.

The event is set to showcase more than 25 brewers from around the country, including industry giants like Gage Roads, Black Hops and Earth Beer Company, alongside local gems such as Coolum Beer Co, Matso’s Brewery and Seabourne Distillery.

BrewFest will also boast an impressive line-up of musicians, including headline act Great Gable, local talents like Band of Frequencies, Raw Ordio and Pricey, and Sydney surf rock act Goons of Doom.

The Noosa Festival of Surfing is again expected to attract hundreds of competitors and thousands of spectators, who come to see some legends of the sport and the now world-famous surfing dogs.

Noosa Festival of Surfing director Josh Allen said the two festivals were a great match.

“We (surf festival organisers) have introduced longstanding initiatives around sustainability, providing a world-class platform for surfing competitors from around the world, and (are) consistently focused on growing the events visitation from all parts of Australia through surf culture,” he said.

“As we continue to grow the festival, it gives me great pleasure to announce that we will be bringing BrewFest to Noosa for the first time, in partnership with the Noosa Festival of Surfing.”

He said BrewFest had “the biggest and best selection of craft beer from every corner of the country”.

“Along with some chart-topping bands, we are confident BrewFest will be a raging success and a great event for Noosa,” he said.

“We are ecstatic to have secured this partnership with BrewFest and look forward to celebrating independent brewers and independent music with the local community and our friends further afield very soon.”

BrewFest was previously known as the Craft Beer and Cider Festival Sunshine Coast before it was given a makeover last year, when it was held at Coolum Beach.

BrewFest Noosa is a family-friendly event that welcomes all ages, with tickets starting at $39. First-release tickets are now available via Humanitix.
