Sunday, March 10, 7.45am: Paramedics transported four patients to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a single-vehicle crash on Bugum Road at North Maleny at midnight. They included: a man in his 30s in a serious condition with a head and arm injury; a man in his 20s in a stable condition with lacerations, a chest injury and a leg injury; a man in his 20s in a stable condition with minor injuries; and a male patient in a stable condition with an arm injury.

Saturday, March 9, 1.50pm: A stable patient with a head injury was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after reportedly falling from a ladder at a private address at Diddillibah at 12.28pm.

Friday, March 8, 11.05am: Two stable patients were transported to Gympie Hospital following a single-vehicle crash on Lake Macdonald Drive, near Cooroy, at 9.40am.

Friday, March 8, 9.45am: Gympie mayor Glen Hartwig has thanked community members that stopped and offered assistance after he and his wife were involved in a single-vehicle car accident earlier this week.

“While I don’t know your names, we really appreciate your assistance, love and care,” he said.

Cr Hartwig was hospitalised but does not require surgery and is being fitted with a brace for a fracture in his neck. He said he was feeling fine albeit sore.

“We are grateful to live in a region where people care,” he said.

Friday, March 8, 6.40am: Paramedics transported two stable patients to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Emu Mountain Arterial Road at 4.32am. A male in his 20s was transported stable with a head injury, and a female in her 20s was transported with chest pain.

Thursday, March 7, 5pm: Kawana Waters police are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault on Nicklin Way at Bokarina on February 21.

Initial information indicates around 8.15pm, an object was thrown from the window of a white camper van and hit a pedestrian, causing serious injuries.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact police.

Thursday, March 7, 5pm: The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a teenage boy to hospital after the quad bike he was driving rolled off a track and plunged down a 10m embankment.

The aeromedical team was tasked to a private property north west of Gympie at around 11.30am.

The pilot landed the aircraft in a paddock close to the scene. The patient was treated by paramedics and the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor for a broken leg. He was driven to the waiting helicopter and flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Thursday, March 7, 7am: A stable male in his 20s was transported to Nambour Hospital with minor injuries after falling of a motorcycle on a private property at Cambroon at 10.50pm last night.

Wednesday, March 6, 9.45am: A patient with a head injury was transported in a serious condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a fall from a bicycle on the corner of Moreton Bay Drive and Rosewood Drive, Caloundra West, at 8.34am.

Wednesday, March 6, 9.45am: One stable patient was transported to Nambour Hospital following a vehicle and bicycle incident on Noosa Parade, Noosaville, at 7.55am.

Wednesday, March 6, 6.45am: The mayor of Gympie and his wife were taken to hospital after being involved in a car accident on Monday night after a meet the candidates forum in Goomboorian.

A Gympie Regional Council statement said Glen Hartwig was receiving care in hospital and was in good spirits, while the mayoress had been discharged and was in good health.

Wednesday, March 6, 6.45am: A male in his teens with an arm injury was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition after a vehicle crashed into a ditch on the corner of Gould Drive and Sahara Road, Glass House Mountains, at 6.57pm last night.

Tuesday, March 5, 6.45pm: Cooroy Police are searching for the rightful owner of a sum of money located in a local car park on Maple Street, February 29.

Tuesday, March 5, 7am: A woman in her 60s suffered arm and leg injuries and was transported in a stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Caloundra Road and Latcham Drive, Little Mountain, at 6.57pm last night.

Tuesday, March 5, 5.45am: Detectives from the Sunshine Coast Criminal Investigation Branch are appealing to the public for information regarding a robbery at a takeaway restaurant on Peachester Road in Beerwah.

About 10pm on Tuesday, February 13, a man rode a white mountain bike with black wheels to the business, walked through the entrance and stole cash from the till.

When confronted by the shop owner, the man pushed her as he ran out of the building.

He rode away on his bike, heading west on Peachester Road.

The man is described as tall with a slim build, wearing long black pants, a long sleeve black shirt and a black and white face mask.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, recognises the man, has CCTV footage, or any information that may assist the investigation is urged to contact police.

Monday, March 4, 4.50pm: A stable patient was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Page Street and Hoopers Road, Kunda Park, at 3.50pm.

Monday, March 4, 4pm: A severe thunderstorm warning for the Sunshine Coast, Somerset, Moreton Bay and Gympie council areas was issued at 3.27pm.

The Bureau of Meteorology warned that severe thunderstorms likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding were detected near Crohamhurst, Maleny and Mount Mee. These thunderstorms were moving towards the northwest. They were forecast to affect Wamuran, Conondale and Montville by 3.50pm and Palmwoods, Mapleton and Kenilworth by 4.20pm.

The warning was cancelled at 4.51pm.

Monday, March 4, 2.30pm: A stable patient was transported to Nambour Hospital after a reported snake bite at Eumundi at 1.46pm.

Sunday, March 3, 1.30pm: A patient was airlifted in a serious condition to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital after a lawnmower rollover at a property at Witta, near Maleny, at 11.10am.

Sunday, March 3, 7.05am: Paramedics transported a stable male patient to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a vehicle and motorcycle crash on the Bruce Highway northbound at North Arm at 8.18pm last night.

Saturday, March 2, 7.25am: A single-vehicle crash into a tree was reported on Candle Mountain Drive at Crohamhurst at 7.37pm last night.
