A Sunshine Coast distillery says it is more motivated than ever to continue “pushing the boundaries” after it was named the Craft Producer of the Year at the 2024 Icons of Gin Awards.
Beachtree Distilling Co was crowned the global winner at the award ceremony, making it Australia’s most-awarded organic distillery.
The latest triumph builds upon Beachtree’s impressive track record.
Last month, the Caloundra-based business picked up a gong at the World Vodka Awards for its Organic Tiger Quoll Vodka.
Beachtree’s Organic Native Skippy Gin has also impressed on the world stage.
Head distiller Steve Grace said winning Craft Producer of the Year at the World Gin Icons 2024 was humbling.
“This recognition on such a prestigious platform is a dream come true and a testament to the collective dedication, creativity and unwavering commitment our team shares,” he said.
“We pour our hearts into every bottle, meticulously crafting gins using the finest Australian botanicals, and this recognition fuels our drive to push boundaries and share our love for gin with the world.”
As Australia’s only First Nations-certified distillery, Beachtree Distilling Co founder Kirra Daley said the distillery blended tradition and innovation to craft spirits that captured the essence of Australia.
“Fuelled by a passion to share the unique flavours of Australia’s native botanicals, like the citrusy notes of lemon myrtle and the earthy tones of wattle seed, we embarked on a journey to create Beachtree Distilling Co spirits,” she said.
“Every sip is an exploration of the Australian landscape, offering a taste of our land’s rich heritage and embodying our commitment to sustainability and partnership with local farmers and growers.
“The colourful and creative gin bottles also showcase the distillery’s Indigenous heritage and sustainable values.”
Ms Daley said sustainability was at the heart of their business.
“We source our ingredients ethically, minimise our waste and actively plant native trees through our ‘One Bottle, One Tree’ program. When you choose Beachtree, you’re making a conscious choice for the planet,” she said.
