Police have charged two teenage boys following an attempted armed robbery in Pelican Waters and the dangerous operation of a motor vehicle through south-east Queensland last week.

About 6.30am on Tuesday, June 11, a Jaguar was travelling north along Bledisloe Boulevard when it is alleged the 59-year-old female driver was approached by an armed male.

It is alleged the male demanded the vehicle before the woman left the scene with her car keys. She was not physically injured.

The male was unable to start the car and left the scene in a stolen Audi SQ5.

Police and POLAIR tracked the vehicle as it allegedly continued driving dangerously through parts of Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast before police lost track.

The Audi was located abandoned along Eliza Street in Clayfield, after it crashed into a pole on Alma Road about 2.40am on Wednesday, June 12.

It is alleged a gel blaster was located inside the vehicle.

The Audi was allegedly stolen from a property along Gordons Crossing in Joyner on June 10.

Following investigations, a 17-year-old boy was located and arrested in Warner on Saturday, June 15, and a 15-year-old boy was located and arrested in Woombye on Friday, June 14.

A 17-year-old Warner boy has been charged with four counts of stealing, two counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence, two counts of receiving tainted property, two counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle and one count each of enter dwelling and commit, unlawful use of motor vehicle, stealing of a vehicle and enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.

He was also charged on June 16 with a further two offences, including one count each of armed robbery and dangerous operation of a vehicle.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Maroochydore Children’s Court on July 3.

A 15-year-old Tin Can Bay boy has been charged with four counts of stealing, three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of enter premises and commit indictable offence and receiving tainted property.

On Sunday, June 16, the boy was further charged with an additional 12 offences including three counts of enter dwelling and commit, three counts of receiving tainted property, two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle – publish on social media – advertise involvement/act/omission and one count each of robbery armed and stealing.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Maroochydore Children’s Court on July 10.
