Police are appealing for information as they investigate a physical disturbance at Nambour yesterday.

Emergency services were initially called to the Civic Way transport station about 3.15pm on Sunday following reports of two men having been assaulted.

Upon arrival, officers located a 39-year-old Two Mile man who had sustained serious injuries, and a 33-year-old Maroochydore man who had sustained minor injuries.

The 39-year-old man was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for treatment.

Initial investigations indicate that the two men had been assaulted by a third man, who had fled the scene prior to police arrival.

That man is described as Caucasian in appearance and was wearing a grey jumper, dark shorts and thongs.

Officers are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with mobile phone footage of the incident or CCTV footage of the greater area to contact police, including anyone who may have seen a man fleeing the area around that time.

Investigations are ongoing.
