Thursday, July 4, 1.20pm: A 60-year-old male staff member from the North Coast Region has been charged and suspended from the Queensland Police Service, in relation to alleged domestic and family violence offences.

The man was charged with two counts of unlawful stalking, one count each of enter and commit a domestic violence offence and wilful damage, five counts of stealing and nine counts of contravene a domestic violence order.

He was arrested on May 14 and appeared before Maroochydore Magistrates Court on May 15.

He is due to reappear before Maroochydore Magistrates Court on July 19.

A police media release stated that “in keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the service faces serious allegations of misconduct. This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated.”

Thursday, July 4, 9.30am: One stable patient with head pain was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a fall from a bicycle on Sugar Bag Road, Caloundra West, at 8.16am.

Thursday, July 4, 6.30am: One stable male patient in his 30s with a foot injury was transported to Nambour Hospital following a vehicle and pedestrian incident on Wales Court, Coolum Beach, at 1.19am.

Wednesday, July 3, 2.35pm: Multiple paramedics were assessing patients for suspected back injuries following a watercraft incident in water off Tewantin at 1.30pm.

Paramedics assessed three patients, including two in serious but stable conditions with spinal injuries, who were expected to be airlifted to Brisbane hospitals. One stable patient with minor injuries was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital by road.

Wednesday, July 3, 2.35pm: One stable patient was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a fall from a bicycle on Sunbury Drive, Peachester, at 1.20pm.

Wednesday, July 3, 6.40am: A male teenager was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition following a single-vehicle rollover on Whitecross Road and Camp Flat Road, Bli Bli, at 5.20am.

Wednesday, July 3, 6.40am: A man in his 30s was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with potentially life-threatening burns to his upper body and face following a rubbish fire at a location off Coronation Avenue and Bli Bli Road, Nambour, at 8.20pm last night.

Tuesday, July 2, 7pm: Police have released CCTV vision of two men who may be able to assist with investigations into an alleged assault at Currimundi on May 14.

It will be alleged that shortly after 9.30pm, a physical altercation occurred between a 19-year-old man and two men in a fast-food restaurant on Nicklin Way.

The first man is described as about 18 years old and 165cm tall, with a medium build and short black hair. He was wearing a red shirt, black shorts and no shoes at the time of the incident.

The second man is described as about 18 years old and 169cm tall, with a thin build and short black hair. He was wearing a black shirt, black trousers and red shoes at the time of the incident.

Anyone who recognises the men in the vision is urged to contact police.

Police are also urging anyone with further information about the incident to come forward.

Tuesday, July 2, 2.40pm: Paramedics have transported one stable patient to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a two-vehicle crash just after 1pm near the Kidaman Creek bridge, which blocked both directions of Obi Obi Road. Drivers were advised to avoid the route if possible.

One stable patient was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after the crash.

Tuesday, July 2, 6.50am: A woman in her 70s was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition after a vehicle went into a ditch on Cooroy Noosa Road and Swift Drive, Lake Macdonald, about 6am.

Tuesday, July 2, 6.50am: Seven stable patients were assessed following a three-vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway at Kybong at 7.50pm last night, however only one man in his 40s required further transport to Gympie Hospital for neck pain.

Monday, July 1, 7am: A male teenager was transported to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition following a single-vehicle rollover on the Bruce Highway southbound at Rosemount at 9.07pm.

Monday, July 1, 6.30am: Police have charged a man in relation to multiple thefts from bottle shops across the Sunshine Coast in the last year.

During May and June 2024, and July 2023, three bottle shop businesses in Buderim, Maroochydore and Bli Bli reported a man allegedly stealing several bottles of alcohol on 19 occasions.

A 41-year-old Maroochydore man was arrested on June 29 and charged with 19 stealing offences.

He received police bail to appear before he Maroochydore Magistrates Court on August 2.

Monday, July 1, 6.30am: The Sunshine-Coast based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew airlifted a man to hospital yesterday afternoon after he came off his motorcycle in the Toowoomba region.

The man, in his 50s, lost control of his motorcycle while travelling on the D’Aguilar Highway at about 3pm.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics transported him to a nearby town where he was met by the LifeFlight aeromedical crew and treated for multiple wounds and abrasions.

He was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Sunday, June 30, 4.15pm: A stable male in his 30s was transported to Nambour Hospital with minor injuries following an ATV rollover on private property at Mount Coolum at 9.23pm on Saturday night.

Saturday, June 29, 4pm: One patient with minor injuries in a stable condition was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a reported vehicle and cyclist incident on South Coolum Road, Coolum Beach, at 8.37am.
