A 20-hectare property with glamping sites and a 100-year-old homestead has hit the market.
Kanimbia estate, at 27 Innalls Road at Obi Obi, has attracted the attention of several prospective buyers.
The 14-bed, nine-bath property is renowned for its stunning views of the countryside and the sky.
Ray White Maleny director Allister Millican said it was a captivating location.
“It’s a magic spot: elevated and private on the banks of the creek,” he said.
“It’s a pretty inspiring sort of place.”
The property includes a renovated and extended century-old homestead, with old charm and modern comforts.
The four-bedroom house is set apart from the commercial aspects of the property and could be a private residence or an accommodation option. There is also a two-bedroom cottage with 180-degree views, which could be utilised by an on-site manager or used as another accommodation option.
There are multiple luxury glamping sites, which include safari and nomadic tents, including a Sioux Indian tipi.
The retreat is being sold by Ceri Little, who created it over several years.
She talked about the property via a video with Ray White Maleny.
“Originally, it was a hobby house,” she said.
“Then, my husband died and suddenly I had to find a new career.
“I had a lengthy spell camping in the field, with my 14-year-old daughter (while operating the house as an Airbnb for income).”
“But it was beautiful among the fig trees, tallowwoods, and gums.
“I just felt like I wanted to share it with people.
“So, we built the tents there and did the glamping, and we moved back into the house.”
The home was also renovated and expanded, including a swimming pool.
Ms Little said she will miss the property.
“I never wanted to leave, but it’s now time to move on,” she said.
“I love the land. It’s special. You can be down by the creek in June and see the moon come up and the sun go down at the same time.
“There are lots of hidden areas, which is why I called it Kanimbia, which means Hidden Valley.”
Mr Millican said the property was a great location for getaways, particularly for couples.
“It’s been very popular, with high occupancy,” he said.
Two people manage the property, while several staff members work there in various roles.

There is approval for multiple glamping tents at eight sites.
Mr Millican said the property, which was nominated for the 2024 Luxury Worldwide Travel Awards, was already a success story but it had more potential.
“It’s obviously a very profitable venture now but there are additional significant revenue opportunities there if you want them,” he said.
“There is so much scope for it.”
He said there was “a lot of interest” from prospective buyers, mainly because approvals were already in place.
“To go through that process now, even compared to five years ago, is bureaucratic,” he said.
“The approvals element is a big challenge, and you need a fair bit of patience for it, but she Ms Little) has already managed to carry it through.”
It’s not known how much the property might sell for, but it’s estimated that it could go for $4 to $6 million.
“It’s a genuine no price marketing campaign,” Mr Millican said.
“But rural zoned accommodation options generally don’t have this level of approval or infrastructure already built.”
