Police are appealing for public assistance after an 88-year-old woman was hit by a car at Buderim on July 25.
Initial information indicates that, at about 1.50pm, a vehicle was reversing in a carpark at a church along Main Street when it struck her.
The vehicle then left the carpark.
The woman sustained leg injuries and was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
Investigators are appealing for the owner of a light coloured Toyota Aurion sedan, which was parked at the location earlier that afternoon, to come forward.
Anyone who recognises the vehicle or has further information about the incident is asked to contact police.
Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.
