A second person has been located and charged in relation to an alleged assault at Maroochydore on Monday.
A 16-year-old Kuluin boy was arrested at an Anzac Avenue address in Maroochydore on Tuesday afternoon.
He has been charged with one count each of common assault and wounding.
He has been refused police bail and is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Earlier: A teenager has been charged after a man was allegedly kicked and stabbed at a bus station outside a busy shopping centre yesterday.
A 15-year-old boy from Forest Glen has been charged, while another boy remains outstanding, following the alleged assault near Sunshine Plaza in Maroochydore.
Police were called to reports of an alleged altercation between two boys and a man at the bus station on Horton Parade about 2.45pm.
It will be alleged the 45-year-old Maroochydore man was kicked in the head and stabbed once in his thigh.
The man was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Initial investigations indicate the boys and the man are not known to each other.
The boys allegedly ran from the scene but one of them was located at a property on Bungama Street, Maroochydore, about 8.30pm.
He has been charged with one count each of common assault and wounding. He has been refused police bail and is due to appear in Maroochydore Children’s Court on August 20.
Police are continuing to work to locate the second boy allegedly involved.
