An award-winning brewery is set to provide “great food, exceptional beer and a vibrant atmosphere” at its new venue on the Sunshine Coast.
Slipstream Brewing owners Deale and Elisa Stanley-Hunt have announced they will open Slipstream Brewing Social House at Birtinya.
Renovations are set to start soon at the premises that was formerly home to the Malt Shovel Taphouse at Birtinya Shopping Centre.
The design, led by interior designer Jumble and Stack, will incorporate industrial elements and features from Slipstream’s Yeerongpilly bar and kitchen, including timber joinery, furniture, green spaces and an open kitchen.
The venue will offer indoor and outdoor dining for about 300 people, a function space and a full kitchen serving a menu of seasonal, Californian-inspired dishes.
Brisbane-based Slipstream Brewing was awarded the trophy for Queensland’s Best Brewery at the Royal Queensland Beer Awards earlier this year.
Guests will be able to enjoy dishes alongside Slipstream Brewing’s signature beers, brewed at the Brisbane brewery.
A curated selection of Australian-produced wines and spirits will be available for those seeking alternatives.
The venue will also host a variety of events during the year.
Mr Stanley-Hunt, the brewery co-owner and director, said it could open next month.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring Slipstream Brewing Social House to the Sunshine Coast,” he said.
“Our vision is to create a welcoming space where locals can enjoy great food, exceptional beer, and a vibrant atmosphere.
“We can’t wait to become a part of the Sunshine Coast community and share our love of beer, paired with a top-notch hospitality experience for everyone to enjoy”.
Slipstream Brewing is an independently owned brewery based in Brisbane producing craft beers inspired by those in the United States.
