Friday, September 27, 4.30pm: A hazardous surf warning has been issued for Sunshine Coast waters, until midnight Saturday. Surf and swell conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as rock fishing, boating, and swimming in the following areas.
Surf Life Saving Queensland lifesaving services manager Natalie Edwards urged beachgoers to stay safe this weekend with the predicted surf conditions and school holiday crowds.
“We want everyone to enjoy Queensland beaches over the school holiday period, but it is important that beachgoers do so safely, and the easiest way to do that is to only swim between and red and yellow flags at a patrolled beach during patrol hours,” she said.
“With the conditions predicted for the southeast of the state, our lifeguards and surf lifesavers will be constantly assessing conditions and will manage patrolled areas accordingly.”
Friday, September 27, 1.25pm: Paramedics have transported a stable patient to Nambour Hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Crosby Hill Road at Buderim at 11.39am.
Friday, September 27, 7.10am: Emergency services attended a reported single-vehicle incident at a fuel station on Pelican Waters Boulevard at Pelican Waters at 6.03am. It’s believed a car crashed into a petrol pump. A man in his 60s was assessed with minor injuries.
Thursday, September 26, 1.25pm: Paramedics have transported a stable patient with facial injuries to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a two-vehicle crash on the Sunshine Motorway south bound at Sippy Downs at 12.02pm. Two other patients were assessed but have declined transport.
Thursday, September 26, 11.35am: Emergency services have attended a crash at Little Mountain, where one person was entrapped in a vehicle.
Three people were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in stable conditions, after the two-vehicle crash on Caloundra Road at 10.43am.
One woman was reportedly trapped in a vehicle before she was freed and taken to hospital, while another woman suffered chest pains, and a third person had neck pain.
Wednesday, September 25, 6.50am: Showers are expected on the Sunshine Coast during the next few days. There is a 90 per cent chance of rain (2 to 20mm) on Friday and an 80 per cent chance on Saturday (1 to 15mm). Large and powerful surf conditions are also expected on Saturday.

Wade Moore (pictured) was last seen walking outside a business on Cribb Street around 7am and has not been seen or heard from since.
Police hold serious concerns for his welfare as his disappearance is out of character and he has a medical condition.
Wade is described as Caucasian, about 184cm tall with brown hair and blue eyes.
Police are appealing to Wade, or anyone with information relating to his whereabouts, to immediately come forward. Quote this reference number: QP2401615187.
