Referred to as the region’s “best-kept secret”, a Sunshine Coast development is nearing completion with only a handful of blocks remaining.

Loved for its central yet peaceful location, Sunshine Cove has become a sought-after place to live, offering a fusion of inner city and coastal lifestyle.

Referred to as the residential “heart” of Maroochydore, Sunshine Cove Realty’s Penny Service said the final chapter in the almost 20-year development is an opportunity not to miss.

“Encompassing nearly 106 hectares, Sunshine Cove community development is literally in the heart of Maroochydore,” Ms Service said.

“It’s one of the Coast’s best-kept secrets while being one of the Coast’s most desirable places to live.

“Visitors and locals alike drive past the stunning views of the lake every time they come off Sunshine Motorway and drive down Maroochy Boulevard.”

The final blocks are within stage three of the Lancelin Precinct and Ms Service said the remaining 20 allotments offered a “great mix” for buyers, featuring urban and terrace lots, plus waterfront blocks that include sweeping lake vistas.

“This is our last freehold land release and we’re thrilled we have such a range of land to offer buyers,” she said.

“There has been a great response and we’re busy welcoming new residents at Sunshine Cove. Now the land is registered we’re seeing a steady increase in buyer activity.

“With buyers able to use any builder they choose, it is appealing for people wanting to build their dream home.”

“It is the mix of people which is what gives Sunshine Cove its vibrancy.”

A shift in buyers opting for easier to maintain homes, or downsizing, along with its central location has seen interest for this premier estate increase.

Ms Service said Sunshine Cove’s terrace homesites aligned with a “small houses, better lifestyle” movement.

“More often than not, our buyers are at a stage in life where they don’t want or need such a large home but still would like the space,” Ms Service said.

“They still want a place family and friends can come and visit, but they would like the freedom to travel or get out and enjoy our lifestyle.

“Not having to spend weekends maintaining large properties is a real bonus.

“Instead of working around the home, people are getting out.”

The last blocks of land are now available at Sunshine Cove.

The final stage includes urban lots starting from 140sqm, with prices from $525,000, and terrace lots starting from 210sqm, with prices from $660,000.

Remaining waterfront blocks range from 225sqm, with direct access to the lake edge.

Sunshine Cove includes Flinders Lane, an innovative, mixed-use precinct that offers bespoke boutiques, hairdressers and other services.

It is also adjacent to Maroochydore’s new CBD precinct and has easy access to the Sunshine Motorway, Sunshine Plaza and the Maroochydore Homemaker Centre.

First unveiled nearly 20 years ago by Chardan Development Group, once complete the award-winning development will have 11 precincts and be home to 6000 residents.
