Three people have been charged in relation to multiple alleged property offences, after police tracked a stolen vehicle between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast yesterday.

It will be alleged the stolen Nissan Patrol station wagon was travelling in the Upper Kedron area around 3.30pm, with one person in the vehicle armed with a knife.

The vehicle was tracked by Polair travelling north allegedly at speed towards the Sunshine Coast, before a tyre deflation device was successfully deployed in Cooroy.

The Nissan stopped a short time later near the Bruce Highway in Cooroy and two passengers, a man and woman, fled into bushland before they were arrested nearby.

The vehicle kept travelling north into Federal before it came to a stop in bushland near the Old Bruce Highway.

The male driver left the scene on foot, before being arrested nearby about 5.40pm.

After the vehicle stopped it caught fire and caused a subsequent grass fire, which was extinguished by emergency crews.

The Nissan was allegedly stolen from an address at Murarrie earlier that afternoon.

The Queensland Ambulance Service reported that paramedics responded to a reported single-vehicle crash with fire on the Bruce Highway at 5.33pm.

A male and a female patient in their 20s were assessed on scene, and the female patient was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

A 24-year-old man has been charged with property offences including enter dwelling and commit, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and dangerous operation of a vehicle.

A 23-year-old man has been charged with property offences including three counts of enter dwelling and commit, and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, attempted enter dwelling and stealing.

A 22-year-old woman has been charged with property offences two counts of stealing and unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and one count of enter premises and commit.

All three are expected to appear before Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.
