Friday, November 22, 11.15am: Surf Life Saving Queensland is reminding beachgoers to be mindful of increased swell and changeable surf conditions following days of rain.
“The ocean can have very changeable conditions and potentially it can be harder to see logs and branches etc that have washed off the shore, so we do encourage beachgoers to be vigilant when entering the water,” SLSQ lifesaving services manager Natalie Edwards said.
Temperatures should be between 19-27 degrees Celsius this weekend, with a medium chance of showers and 15 to 25kmh south-easterly winds.
The best beaches to visit should be Kings Beach, Mooloolaba, Mooloolaba Spit, Alexandra Headland and Noosa Main Beach.
Friday, November 22, 11.10am: One stable patient has been transported to Caboolture Hospital following a truck crash on the Bruce Highway at Coochin Creek at 9.14am.
Motorists were experiencing significant congestion and delays as a result.

Monday, November 18, 5pm: Plenty of people were rescued outside the flags around Queensland during the weekend, prompting caution from Surf Life Saving Queensland ahead of the school holidays.
About 65 per cent of rescues were outside the designated swimming area.
SLSQ’s Natalie Edwards SLSQ predicted a busy summer.
“The key message for the season is look out for your mates and swim only between the red and yellow flags during patrol hours. If you have children with you, keep them within arms reach and under supervision at all times,” she said.
During the weekend, there were seven rescues on the Sunshine Coast and 77 first aid treatments. More than 66,500 people converged on local beaches.
Monday, November 18, 3.25pm: One stable patient has been transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a fall from a bicycle on the corner of McCarthy Shute Road and Mountain View Road at Maleny at 12.44pm.
Monday, November 18, 7.30am: One patient was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition following a vehicle rollover on Beerburrum Street and Messines Road at Aroona just before 12am.
Monday, November 18, 7.30am: Six patients were assessed at the scene of a four-vehicle crash on National Park Road at Nambour at 8.10pm. This included: a man in his 30s with chest injuries transported stable to Nambour Hospital; a woman in her 30s with chest and abdominal injuries was transported in a stable condition to Nambour Hospital; a male in his late teens with facial and arm injuries transported stable to Nambour Hospital; a male in his late teens was uninjured and did not require hospitalisation; and a man in his 50s was uninjured and did not require hospitalisation.

Sunday, November 17, 6.30pm: One stable patient with facial injuries has been transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a fall from a motorcycle on Old Roys Road at Beerwah at 3.25pm.
