Saturday, December 7, 9.20am: Paramedics have transported a stable male in his 30s to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with minor injuries following a vehicle and e-scooter incident on the Sunshine Motorway southbound at Mooloolaba at 2.45am. Â
Friday, December 6, 3.50pm: With a hot weekend ahead across Queensland, and with school holidays now well underway, Surf Life Saving Queensland lifeguards and volunteer lifesavers are bracing for record numbers to hit the beaches.
SLSQ lifesaving services manager Natalie Edwards urged beachgoers to stay safe.
“We love to see people enjoying our amazing beaches in Queensland, but one drowning is one too many and we have already recorded almost 400 rescues in the past few weeks with more than 60 per cent of those outside of the yellow and red flags and patrol areas.”
Temperatures could reach 32 degrees Celsius this weekend with light to NE winds and the chance of showers and a storm. The best beaches to visit should be Kings Beach, Mooloolaba, Mooloolaba Spit, Alexandra Headland and Noosa Main Beach.

Thursday, December 5, 1.15pm: A stable patient has been transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a motorcycle crash on Macadamia Drive, Maleny, at 12.30pm.
Thursday, December 5, 10am: Two stable patients were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a four-vehicle crash on the Sunshine Motorway northbound at Buderim at 8.10am.
Thursday, December 5, 9am: Paramedics were on the scene of a truck rollover on the Bruce Highway southbound at Yandina at 7.20am.
A person was assessed but they were uninjured and declined transport to hospital.
Queensland Police advised that only one southbound lane was open following the rollover.
“Motorists should expect delays while emergency services are on scene,” they said.

There were two rescues and 165 first aid treatments on the Sunshine Coast, from 36,202 beachgoers.
Sunday, December 1, 5.45pm: Two stable patients were transported to Nambour Hosital after a single-vehicle crash into a tree and down an embankment on Kiels Mountain Road at 3.33pm.
Sunday, December 1, 5.20pm: The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew has winched a man with a cardiac condition off a cruise ship.
The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 12.45pm on Saturday to the ship, which was 30 nautical miles north of K’gari, and heading from Singapore to Brisbane.
The man in his 60s suffered a cardiac event on board, with initial treatment provided by the ship’s medical team.
The LifeFlight critical care doctor, rescue crew officer and Queensland Ambulance Service flight paramedic were winched down to the ship, where the man was further assessed and prepared for transport.
The team was winched back to the helicopter with the patient, who was flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
