Coastal Country Music Fest

Chase away the winter blues with a warm dose of country vibes with five incredible Australian singer-songwriters in a Saturday sunset session. Sunshine Coast country music lovers are in for a heel and toe tappin’ good time at Venue 114’s first ever Coastal Country Music Fest to the region. Featuring a line-up of legendary Country Music Awards of Australia nominees, the fest will provide barrel loads of boot scootin’ fun for local country music enthusiasts. Featured artists include Melanie Dyer, Andrew Swift, Caitlyn Shadbolt and Liam Brew.

Runaway Noosa Marathon

Runners from Australia and around the world are putting the finishing touches to their preparations for the Runaway Noosa Marathon, with the 2023 edition set to be the biggest ever. The event will see runners take on four distances on Saturday with 5km, 10km, half-marathon and marathon events on offer, with more than 5000 runners set to take part. The flat, fast and friendly multi-lap course is set in the heart of Noosa, with the start and finish line just steps away from Hastings Street. For those who want to mix a swim in with their run, Swim Noosa takes place the following day.

When: Saturday, May 27, main race from 6.15am, and Sunday, May 28.

Tarzan

Almost 800 artworks will be on show at the Immanuel Arts Festival.

Immanuel Arts Festival

Now in its 42nd year, the Immanuel Arts Festival is a celebration of fine and contemporary art from established and emerging artists. It is expecting to attract 200 artists, with close to 800 pieces of quality works and homewares on display and available for sale. Parking is available on site and there will be a cafe serving lunch, coffee and snacks throughout the festival.

When: May 25 to 27 from 9am to 5pm and May 28 from 9am to 2pm.

Sip and paint fundraiser

The not-for-profit Caloundra Arts Centre, which hosts 25 different artisan groups, is entering into the world of sip and paint experiences as a fun way to fundraise for the centre and its members. So, get together with family and friends for a fun paint session under the guidance of an experienced artist tutor. It is also a great way for team-building sessions. Tickets include tutoring, canvas, paint and use of other art supplies, as well as grazing platters plus tea and coffee. BYO drinks. You will go home inspired and with a piece of your own art!

Radio-controlled sailing championships

The Sunshine Coast Radio Sailing Club is set to host the DragonForce 65 and DragonFlite 95 Australian National Championships. It will be the largest radio-controlled sailing event in Australia this year. The DragonForce 65 and DragonFlite 95 are the fastest-growing radio-controlled model yachts classes in the world with more than 60,000 yachts sold and raced in 25 countries.
