Sunday, May 28, 12.40pm: A person was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in a stable condition, following a bicycle and vehicle incident on Duporth Avenue at Maroochydore at 8.25am.

Sunday, May 28, 7am: A male patient in his teens with chest and head injuries was transported in a stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a single-vehicle crash on the intersection of Kenilworth Brooloo Road and Mary Valley Road, Kenilworth, at 10.27pm last night.

Saturday, May 27, 6pm: A patient with a leg injury was transported in a stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a fall from a mountain bicycle on Sugar Bag Road, Aroona, at 2.11pm.

Saturday, May 27, 2pm: A patient with leg injuries was transported to Buderim Private Hospital after a vehicle and mobility scooter incident on Magnetic Drive, Buderim, at 12.57pm.

Saturday, May 27, 1.30am: Smoke from a hazard-reduction burn was affecting Kuluin and surrounding areas, including Maroochydore, Alexandra Headland and Kunda Park, at 12.07pm.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services recommends people follow health guidance and monitor live air quality information; avoid driving through smoke where possible and be aware of firefighters working in the area; stay indoors and close windows and doors; and keep respiratory medication close by.

Saturday, May 27, 11am: A patient with a shoulder injury was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a motorcycle crash on Hapgood Road, Landsborough, at 9.48am.

Friday, May 26, 5.45pm: Four patients in stable conditions were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a four-vehicle crash on Sugar Road and Wises Road, Buderim, at 2.59pm. 

Friday, May 26, 5.45pm: The Sunshine-Coast based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a man who was injured when a tree he was chopping down landed on him.

It’s believed the man, aged in his 30s, was chopping down a large gum tree on a private property south of Gympie when the tree fell, trapping him underneath.

The rescue chopper was tasked into action shortly after 1.30pm.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew helped a man who was injured by a falling tree.

The pilot landed the aircraft on a road near the scene and was met by local officers from the Queensland Ambulance Service and Queensland Police Service.

The aeromedical crew worked alongside paramedics to treat the man for head, chest and limb injuries.

He was flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Friday, May 26, 1.25pm: A person with chest pain has been transported to Nambour Hospital, in a stable condition, after a two-vehicle crash on Howard Street at Nambour at 11.28am. Traffic was congested in the area and motorists were advised to show caution. 

Friday, May 26, 8.25am: A person with a lower leg injury has been transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in a stable condition, following a bicycle and vehicle incident on the corner of Springhill Drive and University Way at Sippy Downs at 7.15am.

Thursday, May 25, 4.25pm: Paramedics were assessing one stable patient following a single-vehicle rollover on Landsborough Maleny Road, Maleny, at 3.50pm. Traffic was delayed in the area.

Thursday, May 25, 8.45am: Paramedics were assessing three patients following a two-vehicle collision on Bli Bli Road and Prentis Road, Bli Bli, at 8.14am. Motorists were advised to show caution in the area.

A patient in a stable condition was transported to Nambour Hospital after the crash.

Thursday, May 25, 7.35am: A person was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a fall from a bicycle on Railway Parade at Glass House Mountains at 3.41pm yesterday.

Thursday, May 25, 6.50am: Paramedics transported a female patient in a stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with minor injuries after a vehicle collided with a parked truck on Jones Road, Buderim, about 3.45am.

Wednesday, May 24, 2pm: One stable patient has been transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with a leg injury after a vehicle and motorcycle crash on the corner of Eumundi Noosa Road and Venture Drive, Noosaville, at 1.16pm.

Wednesday, May 24, 2pm:  Paramedics transported two patients in stable conditions to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a vehicle and bicycle crash on Birtinya Boulevard and Lake Kawana Boulevard, Birtinya, at 12.17pm.

Wednesday, May 24, 7.55am: A man in his 40s was transported to Gympie Hospital, in a stable condition, with head and knee injuries following a truck rollover on the Old Bruce Highway off-ramp at Federal, near Pomona, at 8.13pm last night.

 Tuesday, May 23, 1.45pm: The Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service has announced a pop-up Hepatitis A vaccination clinic for patrons who visited Raw + Rice Noosa Heads between April 22 and May 18.

Food handlers who worked in the venue between those dates are also invited to drop in to discuss the need for vaccination.

The pop-up clinic will be in the car park on the corner of Hastings Street and Noosa Drive on May 24 and 25 from 11am to 4pm.

It comes after the SCHHS Public Health Unit confirmed a case of Hepatitis A in a person residing at Noosa and who had visited the venue.

Tuesday, May 23, 1.45pm: Bonza passengers bound for regional New South Wales experienced a 1hr45min delay this morning, after a routine inspection revealed wear on one of the plane’s tyres. The travellers boarded the plane to Tamworth at Sunshine Coast Airport before having to get off again, while the tyre was changed.

Tuesday, May 23, 1.45pm: The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service will conduct a planned burn within Tuchekoi National Park commencing tomorrow, weather permitting, as part of the annual hazard reduction and conservation management program for parks and forests.

As a result, smoke may be seen in the areas surrounding Pomona, Cooran and Cooroy.

UPDATED: Tuesday, May 23, 6.40am: Paramedics were at the scene of a house fire on Eastern Court, Mount Coolum, that occurred about 6am. No patients required assessment.

Tuesday, May 23, 6.40am: A patient in a stable condition was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a vehicle and motorcycle crash on Aura Boulevard, Bells Creek, at 5.46am.

Monday, May 22, 6pm: One patient was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with a wrist injury after a vehicle and motorcycle crash on Wises Road, Buderim, at 4.50pm.

Monday, May 22, 2.10pm: Two patients, both in stable conditions, were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a two-vehicle crash on King Street and Mill Road, Buderim, at 12.46pm.

Monday, May 22, 11.30am: The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service will conduct a planned burn within the Tibrogargan section of the Glass House Mountains National Park from Tuesday to Thursday. As a result, smoke may be seen in the Beerburrum, Glass House and Beerwah areas. Some tracks will be closed.

Monday, May 22, 8.40am: A 25-year-old Narangba man has been charged with one count each of serious assault police, assault police, obstruct police, resist arrest, public nuisance (with violence) and wilful damage of police property following a disturbance in a licensed premises on Hastings Street at Noosa Heads about 7.30pm on Friday, May 19.

Police will allege the man was involved in a verbal altercation with a group of people, which turned physical.

Responding police arrested the man, who they will allege verbally abused them, before striking out and kicking a male senior constable in the leg.

Police will further allege the man resisted arrest and obstructed them while he was being escorted outside of the venue and damaged the door of the police vehicle by kicking it.

The police officer was treated for his injuries and no other people were injured.

The man was granted police bail ahead of an appearance in Noosa Magistrates Court on June 20.

Sunday, May 21, 5.55pm: Two people were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in stable conditions, following a three-vehicle crash on the Sunshine Motorway at Sippy Downs at 2.50pm.

Saturday, May 20, 1pm: Paramedics assessed five people, all in stable conditions, and no one required transport to hospital following a two-vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway at Banya at midday, when traffic delays were expected.

Friday: May 19, 7.30pm: Paramedics transported a stable patient to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a motorcycle and vehicle crash on Kauri Street, Cooroy, at 2.24pm.

Friday: May 19, 10.15am: The Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service Public Health Unit has issued a revised exposure period, as it manages a confirmed case of Hepatitis A.
