A famous nightclub with more than three decades of history on Noosa’s ritzy tourist strip has hit the market.

Since opening in 1987, Hastings Street’s largest nightclub has seen countless patrons and DJs bring the space to life after dark.

Now, there is a chance for a new buyer to secure the leasehold for the Rolling Rock nightclub.

Described as the premium entertainment venue in the Noosa area, ‘The Rock’ is currently operating every Friday and Saturday night at full capacity.

The 530sqm site at 28/18 Hastings Street is listed with Forde Property via negotiations for over $750,000.

Forde Property’s Jessie Allen said it was a compelling opportunity to seize a well-established venue – especially for an experienced operator to put their own stamp on the nightclub.

‘The Rock’ is Noosa’s largest nightclub.

“The Rolling Rock offers the opportunity to secure Hastings Street’s only large-format nightclub,” she said.

“With a name known by 30 years’ worth of patrons, a new operator can walk in this already popular venue and add their own style and ideas.

“We are hearing lots of different ideas about what potential owners would like to do with the club – nothing we can let out at this point.

“But I believe when a new owner does take over it will be exciting to see what happens in that space.”

Ms Allen said the listing was generating varied interest, particularly from those already familiar with the venue.

“The interest we have seen so far has been excellent,” she said.

“We are seeing a variety of locals and national owners inquiring who are all very familiar with the club and all huge fans of Noosa.”

The current setup includes two bars, booth seating, a DJ console, dance floor and bathrooms, plus an office space. The nightclub is also available for functions, with space for up to 350 guests.

The Rolling Rock is located on the upstairs level within the Bay Village precinct.
