One of Australia’s favourite songbirds will headline a special outdoor concert, to be held across a whole weekend later this month.

NOOSA alive! Festival welcomes superstar Kate Ceberano to Day 1 of Alive! in the Woods on Saturday, July 29, for a jam-packed live music program over eight hours.

With a four-decade career in the Australian entertainment industry, the multi-ARIA-award-winning artist is set to wow audiences with a memorable performance for the festival’s 21st anniversary.

Her cherished new album My Life is a Symphony, including hits Pash and Brave, debuted at No.6 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

Kate Ceberano is one of Australia’s much-loved musical talents.

With 30 albums under her star-studded belt, there is nothing stopping this luminous jazz, pop, soul singer and songwriter (and now author of Unsung: A Compendium Of Creativity).

Ceberano told the Women’s Weekly in May: “I’m feeling very grounded in the fact that I’m a survivor … I’ve gained and lost confidence a thousand times, but I just keep coming back.”

Over the past year, her live performances have reached a record high. Prime-time main stage and headlining spots on such esteemed festivals as Bluesfest in Byron Bay, the National Folk Festival in Canberra, the Outback’s Big Red Bash and Mundi Mundi Bash have drawn a level of audience affection and participation reserved for only legendary artists.

The day starts with the Noosa STARS alive! finals, presenting the cream of Sunshine Coast talented youth aged eight to 18, all vying to be crowned the winner.

Hosted by Damien Anthony Avery-Rossi (aka “Mr Hollywood in Oz”), each finalist will perform before a live audience. Special guest judge is Rhonda Burchmore, and the winner will be announced at the finale.

Sari Abbott.

But the winner of Noosa STARS alive! 2022 Sari Abbott will first grace the stage, with beautiful melody lines and lived lyrics to take the audience to a place of bliss.

Abbott unapologetically stands on her own two feet, letting her vocals tell her truths through music.

Another act to keep the audience enthralled is Brisbane/Meanjin-based Tjaka

Proud descendants of the Djabera Djabera tribe in the Western Australian Kimberley, Tjaka is fresh from the successful sophomore single Break It Down and touring with world-renowned Katchafire. Fusing modern technology with ancient sounds, Tjaka members create a unique, contemporary Indigenous experience influenced by hip-hop, reggae, funk and sounds from their ancestral Aboriginal culture, sure to get the audience up and dancing.

TOBiAS.

Two decades performing on the stage has earned TOBiAS a reputation for being one of Australia’s finest indie/folk/pop artists and songwriters. He comes to the Noosa festival after having played alongside top acts, including Missy Higgins, Jen Cloher, Archie Roach, Fanny Lumsden and Shane Howard.

Day 2’s six-hour program features Vika and Linda Bull, as well as Emma Pask.

A variety of food vans and licensed bars will be available on site on the day.

Book tickets on the website. Tickets will also be available at the gate on the day for the event that will be hosted by 92.7 MIX FM’s Todd and Jordana.
