Sunday, July 30, 8am: Paramedics took a teenage male to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in a stable condition with a minor head injury, following a fall from a motorcycle on a private property at Warana at 7.04pm.

Saturday: July 29, 4.25pm The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew airlifted a man from a beach in the Noosa region this afternoon.

It’s believed the man suffered a medical episode while in the water, and bystanders had to pull him to shore.

The aeromedical team was called into action just before 1pm and the pilot was able to safely land the rescue helicopter on the sand.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service Flight Paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the man and prepare him for the airlift.

He was then flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition, for further assessment and treatment.

Earlier (3.15pm): A person was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in a serious but stable condition, following a near drowning incident at Noosa Heads.

Paramedics attended Alexandria Bay off Park Road at 1.20pm and treated the person on the scene and a rescue helicopter was tasked.

Thursday, July 27, 1.45pm: A stable patient was transported to Nambour Hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Maud and Sydney streets, Nambour, at 12.51pm.

Thursday, July 27, 1.30pm: The majority of works have been completed at Sunshine Cove in Maroochydore, following the discovery of a significant leak under a weir last wee.

Glen Cassidy, the development manager for development group Chardan, said the conditions at Sunshine Cove had largely stabilised.

“The majority of the works were completed last week with water levels now returning to normal,” he said.

“We still have some tidying up to undertake and are in the process of getting a timeline from the civil contractor.”

Thursday, July 27, 1pm: A patient was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition after sustaining injuries in the surf off Mooloolaba Esplanade at 10.54am.

Thursday, July 27, 8.55am: Six patients were transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in stable conditions after a multi-vehicle crash on Bells Creek Arterial Road at Corbould Park, reported at 7.06am.

Wednesday, July 26, 8.30am: The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal motorcycle crash in Palmwoods last night.

Initial investigations indicate at 6.30pm the motorcycle was travelling west along Chevallum Road before it drove off the side of a bridge and struck a tree.

The rider, a 39-year-old Parrearra man, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have been travelling on Chevallum Road at that time, or may have relevant vision, to come forward.

Tuesday, July 25, 5.15am: Police investigating a two-vehicle crash at Birtinya yesterday are seeking public assistance to identify the driver of a black utility.

Initial information suggests that about 3pm, the utility was travelling on Kawana Link Road before it collided with a bus at the intersection with Creekside Boulevard, causing the bus to leave the roadway then roll over.

The driver of the bus and his two passengers suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the Black Holden ute fled the scene on foot.

Investigators would like to speak with any witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage that may have travelled Kawana Link Road in the lead-up to the crash.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Monday, July 24, 6.50pm: Police have located a girl reported missing earlier today safe and well.

Monday, July 24, 3.25pm: Paramedics were on the scene of a reported bus rollover on Kawana Way and Woodlands Boulevard at 3pm.

Police said Kawana Way was blocked northbound at Woodlands Boulevard following the two-vehicle crash. Motorists were urged to avoid the area or expect delays.

Three stable patients were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following the crash.

Monday, July 24, 10am: Police are seeking urgent public assistance to help locate a 17-year-old girl, who was last seen by her family at Maroochydore on Saturday, July 22.

The girl is not familiar with the Sunshine Coast and it is not known how she is travelling around the area.

Family and police hold concerns as this behaviour is out of character.
