A new online burger store is “going crazy” with popularity due to how accessible and fast it is, according to its owner.

With pick-up and delivery options only, Just Burger JB is the brainchild of Brazilian native Matheus de Marcelhas Oliveira, who says business is booming since opening a few weeks ago.

“We are getting really busy, especially because of the Australian communities giving us really good support,” he said.

“Everybody is starting to know about us.

“Burgers are going crazy and people are coming from Peregian and Caloundra just to pick up the burgers to try them.

“It’s something that they’ve never tried before, a totally different flavour, and it’s something really different from what you can get in Australia.”

Husband and wife duo Matheus de Marcelhas Oliveira and Thalita Aparecida Silva de Marcelhas have opened an online burger store on the Sunshine Coast.

Opening an online burger store with options only for delivery or pick-up has been a long-time dream of Mr de Marcelhas Oliveira, going back to before he arrived in Australia 18 months ago.

With his wife Thalita Aparecida Silva de Marcelhas by his side, the duo makes the meals in the Catering at Eats kitchen in Birtinya.

“Not many places or possibly nowhere else has a store like this over here,” he said.

“The idea is for people who want a good-quality burger but wants to get it really fast and who also wants to avoid queues. I guess it’s a pretty futuristic idea.”

Delivery of meals can be organised through the Just Burger JB website or DoorDash, Uber Eats or Menulog.

“Delivery is pretty fast,” he said.

“They can deliver to 12 miles (19km) distance (from Birtinya), so Mountain Creek, Mooloolaba and Caloundra. But you can get delivery further away, past Maroochydore, if you order through our website.

“Pick-up is popular too, because the burgers are ready in 10 minutes.”

He said they were waiting on a different wrapping paper designed to keep the temperature of the burger warmer, which would be available soon.

“We are just using the conventional paper right now, but it is still holding (heat) really well and will be really warm,” he said.

He said the feedback about customers only being able to order online had been extremely positive.

“People are asking why we aren’t open for dining though,” he said.

“We plan to be opening up our own space and with dining tables as well, as we grow. But for now, everybody’s liking the idea just for delivering and pick-up, because it’s so fast and handy.”

Using wagyu beef for the burger patty, potato buns and sauces such as jalenpeno aioli and truffle mayo and the homemade signature JB sauce, his goal is to create unique burgers – some with a Brazilian twist.

Popular items out of the 11 burgers and two kids’ burgers on the menu include the Just Gorgonzola, Just Doritos, Just Salad, Just Burger and Just Onion Rings burgers.

“We are creating another option that has really good-quality meat,” he said.

“Most other places don’t use that, they only use the same kind of meat.

“We want to bring a good experience and a good taste with high products.

“We also offer the drink Guarana Antarctica, I bring over from Brazil – it’s really famous there.”

With an extensive background working in kitchens and a five-year career as a chef, he said he just really loved food and coming up with new recipes to offer.

“Everybody is loving it and are saying they need to try the other burgers or all of them because they are so good,” he said.

“They are also telling us we need to create a vegetarian option, which are coming soon.”

Just Burger is at 5 Discovery Court, Birtinya. Visit the website here.
