Sunday, October 29, 4.20pm: A bushfire warning for the Hardwood Road area has now been issued as a Watch and Act – Prepare to Leave, as of 5.09pm.
A large, fast-moving fire is burning near White Gums Street and Wintzloff Road. It is travelling towards Hardwood Road, Landsborough. Conditions could get worse quickly. Firefighters are working to control the fire. Residents should not expect a firefighter at their door.

Sunday, October 29, 4.20pm: A person was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in a stable condition, following an ATV rollover on a private property at Belli Park at 3.22pm.
Sunday, October 29, 4.20pm: A bushfire Emergency warning, to Leave Immediately, was issued for the Hardwood Road area at Beerwah, at 3.27pm.
A large, fast-moving fire is burning near White Gums Street and Wintzloff Road. It was expected to impact Hardwood Road, Landsborough within the hour.
People in the area were urged to leave immediately as their lives could be at risk and it will soon be too dangerous to drive.
Firefighting aircraft are helping ground crews.
An Advice warning, to Stay Informed, was also issued for people between Steve Irwin Way, Graham Drive, Fraser Road, and Hardwood Road, at 3.44pm.
An Advice warning, to Avoid Smoke, was still current for Mooloolah Valley, Palmwoods, Nambour and surrounding areas. It was issued last night.
Sunday, October 29, 12.10am: A stable male was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a bicycle crash on Maleny Kenilworth Road at Elaman Creek, near Conondale, at 10.17am.
Sunday, October 29, 9am: The latest bushfire warning at Landsborough and Beerwah was issued at 8.49am.
The warning was at Advice Level – Stay Informed, for properties between Steve Irwin Way, the Bruce Highway, Dianella Road, and Harding Road. A fire is birning near White Gums Street. Firefighthing arcraft are helping ground crews. Fire suppressants will be used to protect properties near Hardwood Road. Major roads or highways may be impacted, including Dianella Road.
Sunday, October 29, 6.40am: A bushfire warning at Landsborough was downgraded to Advice level – Stay Informed at 12.29am.
The warning area is for properties between Hardwood Road, Hapgood Road, Old Caloundra Road, and Steve Irwin Way. A fire is burning near White Gums Street. It is moving towards Hardwood Road. Major roads or highways may be impacted, including Dianella Road. People in the area have been urged to stay informed because conditions could change, and to avoid smoke.
Saturday, October 28, 11.40pm: Police have revoked the emergency declaration, under the Public Safety Preservation Act, which was declared earlier this evening at Landsborough due to a fire.
Police had declared the PSPA at 7.31pm for the area bounded by Steve Irwin Way, Hardwood Road, Forestry Road and Dianella Road.
It was revoked at 10.20pm as there was no longer a threat to property.
A bushfire warning remains. The Queensland and Fire Emergency Services issued a Watch and Act, Prepare to Leave warning for properties between Hardwood Road, Hapgood Road, Old Caloundra Road, and Steve Irwin Way at 10.08pm.
A large, fast-moving fire is burning near White Gums Street and travelling towards Hardwood Road. Firefighters are working to contain the fire. Residents can not expect a firefighter at their door.

Saturday, October 28, 8pm: Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act, and are conducting evacuations from homes within the area of Steve Irwin Way, Hardwood Road, Forestry Road and Dianella Road.
All residents within this area must evacuate immediately as a fast-moving fire is headed towards homes.
Police and fire crews are door knocking, however please do not wait for a police officer or fire fighter to be at your door.

The fire may threaten the township of Landsborough and all residents in surrounding areas are encouraged to enact their fire plan and evacuate the area, via a safe path.
Police have established a place of refuge at the Landsborough School of Arts and Memorial Hall Association at 485 Old Landsborough Road, Landsborough.
The declaration was made at 7.31pm.

Saturday, October 28, 8pm: An Avoid Smoke warning for Mooloolah Valley, Palmwoods, Nambour and surrounding areas was issued at 6.17pm.
The Advice level warning was because of a fire burning at Landsborough.
Saturday, October 28, 5.20pm: A local fire ban will be in place for Sunshine Coast and Noosa local government area residents, from 12.01am on Sunday, October 29, until 11.50pm on Monday, November 6.
Current fire conditions are perfect for bushfires to ignite and spread quickly.
All open fires are prohibited and all Permits to Light Fire which have been issued in the designated areas have been cancelled for the duration of the ban. Power tools may be used during a local fire ban however people are encouraged to use these with extreme care and ensure adequate equipment is available to extinguish any fire which may start.
Saturday, October 28, 3.55pm: A Prepare to Leave alert for properties between Hardwood Road, Hapgood Road, Old Caloundra Road and Steve Irwin Way at Landsborough was issued at 3.52pm.
The Watch and Act warning by QFES said a large, fast-moving fire is burning near Dianella Forestry Road. It is travelling towards Forestry Road.

An Advice level warning was issued at 1.01pm.
At 1.08pm paramedics were on scene at a grass fire on Palmview Forest Drive and Glasswing Avenue.
Monday, October 23, 10.45am: A bushfire warning, at Advice level to avoid smoke, was issued for Beerwah at 11.47am.
Smoke is affecting Beerwah and surrounding areas, from a fire burning near Roys Road. No properties are at risk, but smoke can make it hard for some people to breathe and can make it hard for people to see when driving.
Monday, October 23, 10.45am: Eleven people were rescued from the surf on the Sunshine Coast during the weekend, when more than 92,000 people converged on the region’s beaches.
There were also 958 preventative actions and 56 first aid treatments.
Surf Life Saving Queensland’s General Manager Lifesaving and Education, Peta Lawlor, reminded beachgoers to be wary.
“With warmer weather well and truly here, we are urging people to remain vigilant, swim only between the red and yellow flags and to be sure to supervise your children.”

Sunday, October 22, 1pm: The bushfire warning for Mawsons Road at Beerwah, was cancelled at 10.14am. There is an Advice – Avoid Smoke warning still current for the Beerwah area.
Saturday, October 21, 6.10pm: A bushfire warning for the Mawsons Road and Holts Road area at Beerwah has been downgraded to advice level.
People who left the area have been told they can return with caution, as of 5.53pm.
