Friday, December 8, 12.55pm: A vehicle into a fence was reported at a private residence in Buderim at 11.52am. Paramedics transported one stable patient to Buderim Private Hospital.
Friday, December 8, noon: A snake bite was reported at a location on Hill Street, Pomona, at 9.45am. Paramedics transported the person, in a stable condition, to Nambour Hospital.
Friday, December 8, noon: A mower incident was reported at a private residence at Towen Mountain at 9.37am. Paramedics transported the patient to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Friday, December 8, noon: Two stable patients were transported to Nambour Hospital after a motorcycle and vehicle crash on National Park Road and Rigby Street, Nambour, at 9.35am.
Friday, December 8, 9.05am: Paramedics were treating one patient at the scene of a single-vehicle crash into a paddock on Booloumba Creek Road, Cambroon, at 7.53am.
A rescue helicopter airlifted a patient in a stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after the crash.

The centre’s 25m pool has reopened with standard operating hours, but recovery efforts for the 50m pool, splash park and waterslides are continuing.
Friday, December 8, 8.30am: Tropical Cyclone Jasper has intensified into a category 4 system as it moves toward the Queensland coast, posing a looming threat to communities between Mackay and Cooktown.
The storm system is the first tropical cyclone to form in Queensland waters in December in an El Nino year.
Jasper was about 1250km east northeast of Cairns at 4am (AEST) on Friday and moving south across the Coral Sea at 10km/h, the Bureau of Meteorology said.

Thursday, December 7, 5pm: A 23-year-old man has succumbed to his injuries after he fell into a hole and become trapped in the sand at Bribie Island on Saturday, December 2.
Emergency services were called to the remote campground and he was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, but sadly passed away this afternoon.
Detectives from Caboolture Criminal Investigation Branch continue to make further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident and believe there may be numerous people who were present but are yet to speak with police.
Officers are appealing to those people, as well as anyone who may have dash-camera footage from the northern end of Bribie Island on Saturday, to come forward.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
Thursday, December 7, 3.35pm: A single-vehicle crash was reported on Steve Irwin Way, Landsborough, at 3.11pm. One patient was transported a stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
Thursday, December 7, 1pm: Police have released more details about the discovery of a man’s body in the Maroochy River at Maroochydore last week.
The body was discovered in the river under the Sunshine Motorway Bridge on November 30.
Today Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Mick Doogue said police were still trying to identify the man.
“A post-mortem was conducted, there were no injuries identified and no natural causes identified that contributed to the cause of death,” he said.
“However, as we don’t know the timeline of events that occurred prior to the man ending up in the water we will be treating the matter as suspicious.”
Police divers were today searching the river for any personal effects that may assist in identifying the man.
Detectives have released a Comfit image to appeal for public assistance to identify the man. Police are asking people to report any friends or family members that they haven’t seen in the past week who match the description.
The man is described as 189cm tall, heavy-set build with very short brown hair. While the man doesn’t have any tattoos or other unique identifying features, he does have internal surgical nails in his right knee.
He was found wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts with thin silver pinstripes down the rear of the legs and two cream-coloured knee compression sleeves.
Detectives are also interested in any property found in the river or on its banks, such as shoes, or any vehicles parked in the vicinity of the river that have not moved in past week.
Investigations suggest that the deceased may have been in the water for three to five days before he was discovered. Detectives believe he is likely to have entered the water between Chambers Island and west of the bridge.

Wednesday, December 6, 7.20pm: A two-vehicle crash was reported on Bells Creek Arterial Road at 4.06pm. Paramedics transported one stable patient to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
Wednesday, December 6, 11.20am: Police breathalysed more than 400 motorists on the Sunshine Coast on Thursday, November 30, as part of Operation Bandit.
Officers set up a static roadside breath test site along Quanda Road in the Coolum industrial estate, issuing eight traffic infringement notices during the operation.
Of those infringement notices, one 59-year-old Coolum Beach man was charged with driving almost double the general alcohol limit (0.096).
A 44-year-old Coolum Beach man was charged with driving with a relevant drug in their blood or saliva.
A 46-year-old Caloundra man was charged with driving a motor vehicle without a driver’s licence.
Notices to appear were issued for driving under the influence of liquor, for drug driving and one for unlicensed driving.
Throughout 2022 and 2023, there have been more than 60 traffic crashes involving injuries in the Coolum division, one resulting in fatality.
Sergeant Joel Bryant of the Coolum Police Station said police would be out and about these school holidays.
“We want all road users to survive the drive and get home safely,” Sgt Bryant said.
“There will be an increase in vehicle intercepts, roadside breath and drug testing and enforcement activities by police between now and the New Year festive period.”

Tuesday, December 5, 1.20pm: Paramedics were on the scene of a reported fall near Mountain View Lookout track at Mount Tibrogargan in the Glass House Mountains at 11.57am.
The Queensland Ambulance Service said at 2.21pm that a patient had been airlifted by helicopter to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

Monday, December 4, 2.40pm: More than 550 Energex customers in Forest Glen were without power due to damage from severe weather. In total more than 1000 customers across the Sunshine Coast hinterland were without power, with Woombye and Cambroon residents the next most affected.
Monday, December 4, 12.35pm: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning for people in Gympie, Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay Council Areas was cancelled at 2.02pm.
The immediate threat of severe thunderstorms has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary.
A more general severe thunderstorm warning remains current for parts of the Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett and Southeast Coast districts.

A trough of low pressure and a moist, humid airmass is triggering severe thunderstorms. Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce large hailstones and damaging winds in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Gympie, Cooroy, Imbil and Nambour.
