The six candidates to become the next mayor of the Sunshine Coast have each acknowledged the need to find solutions to alleviate the housing squeeze around the region.
To help voters decide who to elect to the top job, Min Swan, Ashley Robinson, Wayne Parcell, Jason O’Pray, Rosanna Natoli and Michael Burgess were asked ‘With the population expected to grow to over 500,000 by 2046, how will you work to address the lack of affordable and available housing?’.

The aspirants were filmed at this week’s Meet the Mayoral Candidates event, run in partnership between Sunshine Coast News, My Weekly Preview and the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce. They also shared their pitches for the job and their views on transport.
