The main thoroughfare into Buderim could soon be home to a new boutique unit complex after a development application was lodged with Sunshine Coast Council.

The proposed development would see nine two-storey townhouses built on the corner of King and Hamilton streets.

A development application has been lodged to the council by Adams and Sparkes Town Planning on behalf of its client OneLife Property Group.

OneLife Property Group has recently delivered award-winning projects at Maroochydore and Buderim, and is behind the recently built townhouses at 70-72 Queen Street, Caloundra.

The builder won Medium Density up to three storeys – two to five dwellings at the 2023 Master Builder Awards for Luxe by OneLife at Maroochydore.

A town planning report outlines that the builder has now sought approval for a Material Change of Use for Multiple Dwelling (Nine Units) and Operational Work (Engineering and Landscaping).

Known as Banksia Place, each unit would contain four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, an internal lift, media room and study nook, double garage, laundry and high-end finishes.

According to the floor plans, units one, four, five and nine would include a plunge pool.

The total site area is 2044sqm, with existing houses and a duplex across the three blocks.

The units will front King Street with the vehicle access to the property available from a driveway to be located on Hamilton Street.

The main pedestrian entrance to each unit will be located along King Street, with unit one gaining access from Hamilton Street.

The development is about 2km east of the Buderim town centre.
