A “no expenses spared” home on 52.08 hectares of land, complete with its own sand mine, has reached the property market and is set for auction later this month.

Located at Glenview, the property is divided into two sections, with an expansive residential offering, plus a separate sand extraction business – one of the oldest of its kind on the Sunshine Coast.

The sand mine, operating since 1984, is described as an “intriguing feature” of the property and offers a passive income for the homeowners.

Located at 14 Hideaway Lane, the property features a five-bedroom home with the surrounding eight hectares suitable for cattle or horses.

The remainder of the property is dedicated to the commercial operation of the mine, which has its own access from Connection Road.

Selling agent Alan Riley from Fletcher Riley said the property held a substantial amount of “future potential” on top of its current offering.

The current sand mine lease, operated by Onesand, is in place until 2025, with a two-year option to extend, plus future potential to use part of the land for a backfill operation.

An overview of the entire 128-acre Glenview property.

Mr Riley said, subject to council approval, zoning changes could allow for future tourism or commercial use, or subdivision.

“There is a lot of further and future income potential for the site.”

“We do believe that the way the Coast is growing and with town plans as they evolve, there will be potential to have more than just a homesite on the 128 acres.

“It would suit someone that sees that there is a great opportunity.”

The 531sqm Porter Davis-designed home was built in 2019 and features five bedrooms and five bathrooms with dual living options across two levels.

“It’s quite a beautiful, large home,” Mr Riley said.

“It is set up for dual living at the moment … It’s quite a diverse plan.”

Other property features include a walk-in pantry and wine gallery, guest wing on the ground level plus a rumpus room with expansive views of the surrounding “lush green” land.

The remaining residential land area includes a shed with three-phase power potential, functional portable cattle yards and an old dairy, plus ample space for pets or livestock.

An auction will be held onsite on March 27 at 11am.
