Did you see The Spice Girls reunited for the party of the year?

Posh and her pout looked a million bucks and showed us all how to celebrate a birthday.

It has been 12 years since Baby, Posh, Sporty, Ginger and Scary Spice performed briefly at the London Olympics ceremony.

It took Victoria Beckham to celebrate her 50th birthday to bring the band back together to belt out “Stop”.

Who would have thought all these decades later that seeing five women together would bring me so much joy.

But it did.

No one celebrates a milestone birthday quite the way a woman does who believes she is ageing well.

And Victoria is like a vampire: she does not age.

Posh has the hot husband in David Beckham, the celebrity girl gang of friends, seems super close with her adult children, shows her clothing line at Paris Week every year and has a sense of humour that is bitingly sharp.

See-through fashion is popular for some but not all. Picture: Shutterstock.

And she still has a waistline.

I lost mine somewhere along the line.

Victoria’s only flaw is that some of her clothing designs are made with sheer fabrics.

Indeed, her gown for her big birthday bash was sheer fabric: a pale-green, wispy, flowing gown that showed her skinny legs and ample bosom.

This trend is growing at an alarming rate and all the hot beautiful people are going out in their Skims underwear and basically throwing a fly screen over the top.

It makes me very uncomfortable.

Personally, the thicker the fabric, the more I love it to cover up my lumps and bumps.

If I could wear a tarp out to dinner, I would be a happy girl.

A couch slipcover would also suffice.

Just when we thought clothing could not be more revealing thanks to G-strings, cut-outs, the under boob trend and plunging necklines, along comes the sheer fabric trend.

I hope it passes quickly because nothing is more unflattering than wearing your knickers out to the pub with a fishing net thrown over the top.

But happy 50th birthday Posh Spice and thanks for the trip down memory lane.
