A quiet hinterland area has emerged as a haven for cashed-up homebuyers.

The hills of Noosa have become prime real estate, with several new, spacious, and lavish properties boasting expansive views and expensive price tags.

Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty owner and CEO Paul Arthur said the area was getting overdue attention.

“The Noosa hinterland is really starting to come into its own,” he said.

“There are a lot of stunning properties in the area.

“The Noosa hinterland, from Doonan out to Cooroy, is starting to be recognised as one of the premier hinterland regions on the eastern seaboard.

“It’s up there with the Byron Bay hinterland and the Gold Coast hinterland.”

Mr Arthur said the area had plenty of appeal.

“People want modern homes, space and security and if that is minutes away from amenities, that’s fantastic,” he said.

“The beauty of areas like Doonan is that they are semi-rural enclaves that are literally just 10 to 15 minutes from Noosa.”

A mansion on a sprawling parcel of land at Doonan is among the properties for sale to attract interest from interstate and international buyers.

No. 134 Valley Drive could sell for about $10 million.

“It’s an architectural masterpiece on an estate of the highest order,” Mr Arthur said.

No. 134 Valley Drive has crisp lines and modern features.

“It has the most amazing pavilion style home by Sarah Waller Architecture.

“It has with crisp lines and modern finishes.”

“The pavilion style means there is over 830sqm of floor space across one level.”

The residence dubbed ‘Blackwood’ boasts five ensuite bedrooms, six bathrooms and five car spaces.

The home includes Italian Terrazzo and oak flooring, black granite kitchen benchtops, high-end appliances, a powder room, a 21m pool, multiple alfresco areas, a suspended fireplace, water tank storage, an automated irrigation system and robot lawn mowers.

It is set on 7365sqm of land.

“It is a stunning elevated property with beautiful views: looking over a private dam and across the Noosa Valley Golf Course,” Mr Arthur said.

He said it could suit anyone with deep pockets.

“It has got a variety of appeal. It would certainly suit a family, but it would also suit a couple that just wants a trophy home in the region.

No. 134 Valley Drive is a stylish home at Doonan.

The EOI campaign for the property ends on July 31.

“We’ve had quite a significant amount of engagement for the property, so we’ll see where that finishes,” he said.
